  1. nice, I love the Evo's. Its a bit OTT for me but you couldnt change the front because of that huge intercooler.
  2. I brought a 82k se in feb for around that money ive now done 92k and I had a full service, apart from that there has been no money spent on the car. drives like a dream and people do not even concieve the car has done nearly 100k. a friend told me that his car mag said the is is good upto 250k as long as its well maintained. Im sure they'll prob be good for more than that if there really well maintained. look for a good history but mine was an ex bt company car so it may have been a risk but then again mine just shows how well made they are. even if someone may have abused it, you cannot tell.
  3. if your after deacent masking tape then buy TAMIYA masking tape, (loads on e-bay or in a good model shop) it comes in various widths but it leaves such a crisp edge compared to normal masking tape. Im sure there are different makes but tamiya is about the best priced and easiest to get hold of, I use it for my modeling. works on all surfaces a treat including crome and paint without pulling it off, I used it for this:
  4. you can then get your sub key to work with it again by using the master key, he will hopefully do this for you, if not post here again. you can get the master to work with the barrels by using the sub key, there cut the same, its just the master is 1mm thinner.
  5. is there any thing we can do right? sad thing is we inveted alot of the sports.
  6. or what guts and balls you might have taken away from you in a very messy manner!
  7. you might aswell get an IS instead of an AS, the RS is pretty fantastic though and the best of the lot (IMO) is the IS300, comfort, luxury and speed. if you have the money get a 300 ps I think Mitsubishi's are good. :D
  8. I just use normal stuff, I know I shouldnt but the only place that sells higher ron round here is BP and they are a rip off at 102.9p /liter so i refuse to do it. tesco's only has the normal here. I used to use shell (was optimax) in my old jap car as I used to pass one every weekend and that stuff was 20x better than bp ultimate or any other high octain petrol. the car ran better, had better MPG, started better and basicly had a cleaner exhaust than when with the others(has no cats). the great thingwas that it wasn't a massive price hike to it so the cost per mile was a little cheaper because the MPG results. cant recomend shell enough.
  9. how did you modify the smart to produce 105bhp or is it the roadster? (i thort they were 115bhp though). Ive been pooped on before, not pleasent, it's funny that your friends have only just finnished wetting themselves after 5 mins and then they say its good luck! I want at least a handshake if its that great that a bird has excreted on me! sorry to hear that but surely it will be easy for a head re-build on a smart?
  10. last month parkers reconed mine was woth nearly 8K I brought it for alot less than that in feb. I always look at others on auto trader and completed listings on E-bay. sad to say I bet your looking at 7.5k tops
  11. please do, bushes normaly cause a knocking sound not a creaking but if there hard material they could creak, they do wear so even if you talked up the bolts they could still move enough to make a noise. could all be co-incidence to the warantee work. on my old car I was constantly chasing problems as one was fixed it brought or highlighted another but one day all was good with it so I do hope one day yours will be back to how it should be.
  12. what, you mean black and white and a man holding a gun in silowhet? :D :P nice bike. good choice, friend almost brought that one and the spec is v v impresive but I just love the look of the new GSXR, v v v v nice. get the motorways back to unlimited speed like the good old days and lets all have some fun!
  13. ive always been a JD fan but its not a true whisky. I had Jim bean black last night and that was nice, no nasty after taste and there's always jamersons, both around £20 and good value for money.
  14. well done, I just need to keep posting random coments and I could be as high as you lot! :P
  15. I just took mine out and it was fine. the main thing was the long spring that joins one top side to the other in a loop around them all, took me ages to get that right but without seing it I'm gona struggle to help. mine reader was between the 2nd from top and 3rd from top I just went through each cd when pluged in and it then realised there was no cd in there. it did think there was a few in there untill I did that.
  16. thats great, v funny. many thanks for cheering me up.
  17. stealing from banks in my case :winky: looks great. I want one. isnt it going to be around 50k? what time does HSBC shut?
  18. smoke grey looks good. like the granite sky colour for the IS.
  19. When I test drove a 1990 Celsior with the missus last year, I asked how old she thought it was and she said "dunno, 5 or 6 years old?". She was quite shocked when I told her the real age. :tsktsk: I only wish I'd put my foot down and bought it. A Celsior is next on my list when I tire of the GS. In case your wondering, the Toyota Celsior is the Jap equivalent of the LS400 but a hell of a lot higher spec and usually a fraction of the cost. my IS has done 92K miles and no one that has been in it has even thought that it has done anywhere near that sort of milage. most think 40-50k at most as it sounds and looks a lot healthier than friends 30k miles VW's and 50K miles Mercs.
  20. Would you still have the link for that... does it have pictures... i like pictures I spent 1 hr looking for the link but I couldn't find it! I have to say the search engin on LOc is quite pants but it must just be me as everyone else seems to manage it. :duh:
  21. I do want some springs because the car handles like a boat in choppy water compared to my old one. I think 25mm is about the most I want to drop it by. what springs should I go for. I may get a strut brace aswell, is there any difference between the cheap and expensive braces? craig
  22. I saw a how to guide for the Gs and since there pretty much the same I folowed that guide. just use high temprature spray paint on the disc hubs and any hamerite you fancy on the calipers. Craig
  23. I'm not sure, inother words Iv'e never had it say the file is wrong, I just take them with my sony phone 2mp camera, bluetooth them to my comp, download them to photobucket and then copy the URL and then paste it into the post. oh here is a pic of the side of my car that has been requested, sorry it was taken this morning and it was a little foggy and car was covered in dew, at least you can see the calipers Craig
  24. end of 2000 x reg Craig oh and its the earlier blue as in royal saphire not strathcaron ( or however you spell it)
