  1. you might find that because it is a pearlessant colour when you paint a large area it will be noticably different when painted and not sprayed. you may need to spray it and slowly build up the layers untill it is a close match. There great to match in small quantaties but on a large scale it's near impossible without a proper garage blending it in. mine had a different colour bonnet and wing when I brought it, soon had that changed though, mine is royal saphire too. Craig
  2. I drove the starion with a lead foot and overtook everything whenever possible and threw it into all the bends. I drive the Lexus like I have miss dasy in the back or a trafic policeman! its just designed to be comfortable.
  3. Ah but you should be upgrading your speaker cable to competition wire! :P That stealth box makes my sub sound even bassier! Great buy Stav! Should have the boot finished in time for the car show on saturday! wires are a waste of money! Ive spent a fortune on silver, yes silver wire for my home speakers, £5 per meter, I had placed it all in the walls and then moved house, bro told me just to use 2 core flex and I did in my new house £0.30p per meter and I cannot tell the difference and i challange anyone to prove me wrong. I dont use cheap speakers either, I have a set of B&W's and there the best for the money I feel. Try just using 2core flex or any non thin wire and I bet you wouldnt notice anything apart from the extra weight in your wallet Craig
  4. Sounds really dodgey I know but if you sent it to me with a tenner and a spare key I would get it cut but I understand if you'd rather not. It's just a long drive to loughborough from you, that's where I get it cut. by the way if you sent me just the outside with no electronics there would be no way I could copy the imobiliser, so id never be able to steal your car. Craig
  5. I was tryin to book, great deals, just what i was after but it just seems like a bogus site!
  6. well done. thats really good for you, im not jealous or anything really craig
  7. I dont think the links work ( well they don't for me anyway) Craig
  8. 60mph is pretty tame for most roads. I feel for your friend but at least all is good and he won out in the end. :D
  9. thanks for that: I checked out a local SS exhaust place this morning, looks like this is gonna cost 350 to 500 Quid!! As my login name may suggest - I don't think I need the lifetime guarantee of SS. As soon as I can, I think this car is gonna go [but I'm caught between taking the seller to court or spending more money on righting the problems and selling it on at another loss] - -either way this Lexus purchase is hurting. I know it's not Lexus's fault, but you can't help associating car problems with the badge. So, I'm also gonna look for a straightforward standard exhaust replacement - and any known places that sell harrier/rx300 exhausts - please let me know. if your going to sell it on, put a stainless exhaust on, at least it sounds good when you tell the new buyer and it looks like you care about your car. just IMHO Craig
  10. I like your name :D Im sorry to hear what happened, where did you buy it from? Craig
  11. its all gone mad, my dad is self employed builder, if I help him out its just a nightmare! like has been brought out, gloves that make it more dificult and things like that. these procedures seem to cause more accidents than they prevent. as for the job, if it pays well do it but remeber, work to live not live to work Craig
  12. fantastic, im gob smaked, well impressive. 1000HP is hard to do in any car let alone an IS! well done and such good quality workmanship and atention to detail. :D thumbs up. :D Craig
  13. Its in the manual. to be honest its not that high because the engin cuts out at the red and the engin runs normaly quite high.(no I'm not a trev its just I found this out changing from a loud car to this and wondering why i suddenly keep losing power but not hearing any loud noises!) :duh: Craig
  14. how did that is end up like that then? winnie, I agree that they were in the wrong but I know full well I personaly have broke the speed limit and No one can say that they havn't. sometimes we all make stupid mistakes but he might be one that is an idiot and continualy flounts the law, still in that case I hope he makes a full recovery and does learn from his mistakes. Craig
  15. he still lives at home with his mum, but rents his F1 players Crib/flat out because he doesnt like living alone... Languages: Other, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, German, Dutch, English. Why dutch? I think dutch is one that isn't related too the rest in otherwords spanish and portuguese is v similar, german is aparently easy to learn but dutch is v hard and not similar too the rest. Unless he's a bike racing, world beeting car driver with the time to learn 7 languages? I don't think so.
  16. excusme if im stupid but how does a fly wheel go? they dont do owt apart from spin? the clutch doesnt rub on it does it? Craig Ok I did a search on fly wheels and the clutch does rub on them but Ive never heard of a flywheel waring out, I was used to 18 year old mitsubishi's that have done minimum of 80k and most had 150k on them
  17. my friend brought a 9 3 cabrio, he went in and asked if they handled well, they said yes, he took it out found out it was crap handeling so he brought it!? why you may ask, he crashed his M3 EVO the previous week, bad crash, the diff on the car seazed and forced it into a spin, he was shaken up and wanted to calm his driving down. Its worked, he no longer drives as fast ( he was always safe though) but he has never liked the car, Handles like a 'boat in rough seas' aparently. they look alright I suppose, not my cup of tea though. Craig
  18. Third Party Fire and feft ? :winky: :P
  19. we went a month ago, its nice and there is pembertons chocolate factory, cheap, small but chocolate was very nice. we just traveled around the area and went to the verry tip at angle aswell (friends live there) it very nice scenery. we did a few things and I cant for the life of me remeber them now, we just went through the leaflets and picked what we fancied. pembertons was tasty though! Craig
  20. Well, I'm looking at this one but I'm not sure if it's suitable - can you tell from those details if it'll do the trick? Also, did you get your relay from Maplin too? My mistake i got it from CPC Heres the link: Timer Thats the one i used for the mirrors, i "borrowed" the relay from work unfortunatly. And i used this one Linky attached to the circuit to run the sunroof but i never quite got that working properly. Hope this helps Stav how did you wire up the windows? is it all in the same area as the mirrors? Craig
  21. B)--> QUOTE(T7RY B @ Nov 13 2006, 05:59 PM) ← Pic of RX taxi but I don't know what area it's from? I asume that the american flag that is on the side indecates it's in america. also the writing is in english so again I asume its america but I could be wrong. Craig
