  1. I have not experienced any probs but then i live in the countryside. If you are going to get a tracking device, spend a bit of time checking out costs etc, the lexus dealer may not be the cheapest- i looked into getting one fitted but the quotes varied by about £150 for the same product!!!!!! The normal tracker works on radio waves and has a range of about 3 miles, a friend who is in the police also said that they have had probs getting accurate signals with that type of system. I think the best is the GPS system but it will cost more. Also remember the IS has come top for 2 years running in the security tests. look into it a bit more, before making ur decision - u can always get it fitted afterwards! robbie. 6. i have used turle wax metallic, yes its a bit of a pain in the ar!e to apply but it also removes any tar/gum deposits and as you are looking where you put it you notice any marks/sap on the car. As im a lazy git, i bought one of those polishing machines, i must say i am surprised, it works great, get a great shine, just have to get used to putting a small amount of polish on now. robbie
  7. my friend had the same sort of thing, popped some pills then started coming up in bruises went on for a while - we later found out he was sleep walking, he was seen in his boxers walking down the highstreet!!! :o just be warned steve!! lol robbie
  8. i swapped them over and i must admit, i did feel a difference in the handling of the car, the dunlops i find are very noisy, but quite grippy but recently the car has been a bit squirmish, but there is plenty of life left on them so ill see what happens, Toyo's will cost me £98 ea so not too bad at all. robbie.
  9. Hey Blue, No sorry i dont, just know a few choice words etc! robbie.
  10. well you know me, i'll always try to help out where i can! got another nose clearer for you! - go buy some sushi and there should be some green paste with it ( not the ginger) well thats super strong so take the lot at once, then see what happens! dont think you wil be able to see for a week but your nose will b clear! LOL:P robbie.
  11. That is the closest it measures down to, that is how the processor is designed, but 35cm is not much, so i think it is about right, it can measure up to about 3m away down to the 35cm in 2 cm increments, also get a beeping sound from the digital display which changes as i get closer i.e more beeps = closer. I have mounted the display on the dash tray so its easy to see, i was thinking of having the reverse beeper disconnected, but it doesnt really make a differenceas the sensor beeper is louder. robbie.
  12. yep nice one, so do we all get an autographed copy??? lol.;) robbie.

  21. hi all, I have finished fitting the parking sensors and the digital display, i have 3 at the back and 2 at the front, it is very accurate, measures in 2cm increments and down to 35 cm, i checked how accurate it was before trusting it. Only thing is as i have the sensors front and back i have had to wire in a switch for on/off, thats why i know how most of the dash comes out! apart from having to drill the holes everything was easy to do. if anyone wants more info U2U me. robbie.
  22. hi all, here is question for you - you know the service key, the one without the boot release button on it so the boot cant be opened when its at the garage. well whats stopping them from using the boot release lever??? service key - what a load of horse!! robbie.
