  1. you want to try cornwall mate, they are a world apart!!!!
  2. Just wondering if anyone finds the paint chips really easily or is suffering from paint chips on the bonnet??
  3. i think the static clingy ones would be the peoples favorite.
  4. it would be nice to have all the buttons on the drivers door control lit, rather than just the drivers window.
  5. http://www.clublexus.com/cgi-bin/photo/ind...o=2691&size=big think he is burning a bit of oil?? LOL:D tony - the wheels u were going to get - isnt that them on the car next to the yellow one in the lower left? [Edited on 21-3-2002 by fluff34567]
  6. I think i speak for everybody when i say the engine on the IS200 needs to be improved! it seems very reluctant to get going, enhance low down torque or something ( ie at a stop, put your foot down and nothing really happens for a while)
  7. how about a dry white wine spritzer???
  8. Hi Miniac, first may i say welcome to the club! Ok, you are pretty limited as far as replacing the stock IS200 airfilter goes, TRD does one but it is basicly the original filter that has been dyed red and they retail at around £88!! (in my opinion not worth it) I also belive a company called trust does a foam filter but the filtering capability isnt very good, cost £???? I havent seen any commercial offerings of an induction kit, ( plenty for the IS300) there are a few homemade ones which i have seen in pics. For the HKS you could try www.tdi-plc.com they are a lexus tuner, but im sure that there are plenty of other places selling the exhaust best thing to do is get one of the tuning mags and look thru the adverts. hope this helps rob.
  9. fluff, are this 18" or 17"? Cause somebody told me the stock rims are available in 18". [Edited on 19-3-2002 by Leexus] i believe the ones in the pic are 17" wheels.
  10. not having much luck with wheels recently... were they out of stock or something??
  11. Do you mean a patch or a plug????? I would rather carry the spare than have to buy a new tyre! when i get a flat at least you can get the tyre plugged(unless its on the edge)
  12. welcome to the club! but the pic is a fake! sorry.
  13. Have a look here and find out?? http://www.4degreez.com/misc/personality_disorder_test.mv :o
  14. what you have to remember is that with the standard tires, they will be crap in winter conditions as thet are essentially summer tires, change to winter tires and no probs. Or put a couple bags of sand in the boot, makes a huge difference to the summer tires.
  15. these are the parts u need for the armrest. Price Description $186.90 Armrest $51.21 Hinge Cover $36.01 Hinge $18.67 Box $12.94 Round Cover $12.94 Round Cover $2.96 Cover (goes where magnet was) $2.15 ea Bolts (need two) Total $325.93
  16. well what i want to know is whats that starfish thing lying in the road??????
  17. nice one steve!!! ill send it to the G/F. :D
  18. LOL! yeah i know where ur coming from george, all i can say is that the emmisions laws in Japan are really strict and the cars are fitted with loads of anti-pollution equipment - charcoal filters etc so thats why i would assume the cats in JP are more restictive.
  19. I have used cleave on many occasion for other cars and they have a professional outfit, i have visited them as well, they have a xj220 for £60,000, ferrari's, lotus carlton etc all damaged of course. i have never had a prob with parts when i have ordered thru post either. Sounds like an advert!!!! LOL.
  20. i spoke to the dealer the other day and there was still no part number ( seems no one has had to have it replaced!) I dont believe the arm rest will affect the gear change as it is only small( its the size of the rear stogage space in the centre tunnel console. but u can order it from the US cost is about $350!!
  21. Not convinced about that one george, we had a JDM car and was covered with stuff to reduce pollution, so IF the cats are different i would expect them to be more restrictive in Japan.
  22. remember if you get flashed and u get the police notification more that 14 days after the offence it is void! it has happened to me i got it 16 days after, i called plod and it was cancelled. !:D
  23. hi 'pincher', first welcome to the club:D ok about getting more oomph - have a look at these posts http://teamlexus.co.uk/forums/viewthread.php?tid=498 http://teamlexus.co.uk/forums/viewthread.php?tid=299 At the moment there is really only one mainstream option and that is the TTE supercharger, there is anothe option but no one here has gone down that route and that is a tuning company in germany. http://teamlexus.co.uk/forums/viewthread.php?tid=494 plus TRD328 has gone down the turbo route, and has had good results with that. to find some more posts check out the search option at the top of the page. Cheers Rob.
