  1. I take it all back what I said about the Sportcross - that is nice....
  2. any colour looks good....except yellow, white or metallic-brown (aztec fire)....:o
  3. Is that like a Stradercaster? I think I'm coming over all meat loaf-ish...:P
  4. A mate has just chipped his car (a golf) but not told his wife. Some explanations we've suggested he could use... 1. "You see I've washed and polished it really well so it slips through the air easier." 2. "We'll I tidied some of that old junk out of the boot - a spanner - and the weight reduction seems to have really helped." 3. "Dear, have you lost some weight?" :D:rolleyes::D
  5. I got an egg personal loan - 9.9% capped so the interest rate could go down in theory plus you can pay it off early, take payment holidays etc without penalty. With pe and cash I still had to find £13,000 as a loan so it works out as £273 pm for 60 months! Hey it's a lexus - it should last that long. [Edited on 26-4-2002 by javadude]
  6. I had the rear (L) badge levered off my IS200 a few weeks after I bought it. It was attached by an adhesive pad - half of which was left on the car. It was a pain to clean up but at least they didn't damage the paintwork. I think the new badge was about 8 quid.
  7. Are you feeling a little more normal today? :D
  8. Hi Sholao - I tried your link - it's nice to find another Christian here! I'm an elder of a church in Reading - http://www.grovelands.org" target="_blank"> http://www.grovelands.org
  9. Honest officer I was just trying to clear my window...;)
  10. I got my IS200 in Sept. So far... Nov - Left rear with nail in from building work at office - £132 - company paid though! Dec - Front left punctured by screw. Both front worn so replaced instead of repairing - £220 Mar - Rear left with cut in side wall after parking tight against curb.... or something or vandalised...? Spare flat too - with 3 nails in it so 2 more tyres - £180 :mad:
  11. Anyone know how much a chrome exhaust trim is?
  12. ha..ha..ha..best software I've seen for ages - it doesn't take much to amuse me :tumble:
  13. I did get offered the old air filter back when I took my first car (a mk II escort) into the garage to be tuned. Think bees. Think of the honeycombs from a hive that are dripping with sticky honey. The air filter was like one of those honeycombs except that it was black and sticky. :o I don't think it had been serviced for a while. Needless to say I declined. [Edited on 19-4-2002 by javadude]
  14. Eeuuww... I thought they buried it....:D
  15. Sorry it's got to be done... what's that skippy? .....skippy says there's a boy trapped down a well about half a mile away and his left tibia has a compound fracture...:D [Edited on 19-4-2002 by javadude]
  16. Hi Simon. Errr..yes...no...well not far away - Reading. (I used to work in Oxford Science Park if that counts.....probably not...)
  17. I feel silly washing just the wheels every week - I wash and wax the rest of the car once a month. If I leave the alloys a month they're a pig to get clean but doing them every week they're easy. (Plus they're the bit of the car that gets dirtiest so cleaning them makes the car look much better for minimum effort.)
  18. You forgot... "mp3 sound can go down as well as up" and... "your home is at risk if you listen to these mp3s" :D:D
  19. One of those would look good in my car
  20. Too right - I need all the help I can get! Want to swap engines? :D Photocopier salesmen? No Java Programmer...just a minute isn't that another thread... [Edited on 17-4-2002 by javadude]
  21. ^ || I thought the smiley said it all! there was no smiley..........it just said "edited by javadude" so i deleated it [Edited on 17-4-2002 by superchargedIS200]
  22. Payment made last night by transfer from bank's web-site... Should be in your account in 3 days.
  23. The only false alarms I've had with mine has been washing the car when I press down with the sponge in the centre of the roof. I think it's more down to movement of the air in the car or the sensors than vibration though.
