  1. But as I understand it you can't get it to play Film DVDs or feed in TV as the input is some bizarre proprietary one that Lexus won't release the specs for. There is meant to be an interface built by Pioneer that they no longer sell. Loads of people have asked about this but no-one has said they've managed it yet!
  2. Perhaps we all have the same driving style...:sniff: I drive like a nu... progressively. :D
  3. OK so we don't want the forums over-run with companies/individuals advertising... but isn't the idea of the site to help each other? So if several people want to find a supplier for something and someone knows then shouldn't they tell them?! The only reason I have caliper stickers is because someone on this site helped me and told me where to get them. Sorry rant over :bounce:
  4. Funny - by ****** do you mean ************?
  5. The last time I ordered something from the US the company wrote "Gift" on the packaging - very naughty.
  6. My "Worst things you can do to a Lexus" thread comes to mind....:D
  7. It's in the manual but if I remember right its something like gear mph 1 29 2 53 3 77 4 95 5 115 best check though - don't rely on my memory for the health of your engine!
  8. I had problems with the wheel alignment. Having a new set of tyres (of a different make) on the front seemed like it might have been some of the cause - the steering wheel went off centre and swapping them to the back made it go off-centre the other way.... http://www.teamlexus.co.uk/forums/viewthread.php?tid=1517 In the end I got a new set of tyres so that they all matched and lexus sorted out the wheel alignment to perfection. (I went to a tyre company earlier but they used different settings and my dealer said these were not the correct spec so be wary of going elsewhere too!) I suspected a faulty tyre or a slightly off-perfect, but still in spec range, wheel alignment caused my problem. Make sure the dealer gets the wheel alignment dead centre of the spec range!
  9. If I was going to spend minimum money for maximum handling improvement should I get the suspension stiffer/lower or rollbars or is it not worth doing one without the other (or without changing my wheels which are the standard S 16-inchs)?
  10. Similar happened to me in a Vauxhall. I was in traffic on the motorway that was stop-start crawling because of roadworks or something. Kid behind looked like he'd only just passed his test. He was with his mates busy talking. Of course eventually it happened - he was too busy talking to notice the traffic ahead had stopped. He went into the back of my car. I got out looking like I was going to do someone some serious damage and he looked real worried. There was no damage to my car so I told him to pay attention and let him go as he seemed so shaken that I thought that was punishment enough. Later rust developed where a slight crack had been made in the paint. It was in a tight spot between the bumper and lights and I never managed to get it properly fixed up it just kept getting worse and worse...
  11. Perhaps we should combine a club cannonball run with a debt collection exercise?
  12. I got one on the right-hand edge of the boot at the top - almost inside the boot... Spose it might have been a bike rack or something....?
  13. Or eat what is200uk is eating in his avatar in one?! :D
  14. I'm a gold member and I'm nuts too so it's no guarantee. (ie Your sanity can do down as well as up - past lucidity is no guarantee to future sense...etc...) :eyes:
  15. I didn't see much of it - I was working. You might think that April couldn't exist but she reminds my wife of her sister. :D
  16. After our hol mine had mud, pine needles, crisps etc inside but I got it serviced right after and they hoovered it so I didn't have to. :D:D How about also... - let a wom...:eyes: no I can't say that one I'll get beaten up
  17. OK what's the worst thing you can do to a Lexus? Here are some suggestions... - leave those sticky car park tickets on the inside of the drivers side window - fit roof bars (noooo, sorry - I've done this one :( )
  18. The seat in your lexus looks a little wooden. :D In fact the whole vehicle seems a little minimal - just a seat and number plates. :D:D
  19. Perhaps you should email them with a link to this thread and point out that it's not going to do their business much good.
  20. I'd get them to fasten their seatbelt, otherwise it'll make an awful mess of your windscreen in an accident - very inconsiderate.
  21. It looks like it's illegal 'cause the fog lights and stop lights have to be a minimum of 10cm apart and cannot be electrically connected... http://www.hmso.gov.uk/si/si1989/Uksi_1989...n_16.htm#nsch11 Mind you it also says that the fog lights should be red and mine are a bit sort of pink now...;)
  22. YES!! I've got them at last! :D:D:D I fitted them over lunch - not as easy as I'd hoped though. The red bulbs were harder to push into the holder because of having two sets of wires so I was afraid I was going to break them. Also the bulb holders didn't fit into the lights without trimming a couple of pieces of plastic off either side and giving them a shove and a wiggle. They seem to stay in OK though. Boy do my arms ache now. They look
