  1. Vvti doesn't kick in, its a constant variable camshaft, coupled with this the inlet tract is not of a single length what you feel is the inlet tract changing its variable, not the camshafts changing over. they are always changing profile
  2. try to disconnect the reverse switch cable aswell, can give a bit more room
  3. not sure what you mean by holes, the drive shafts are 4 bolt on the is200 and 6 bolt on the altezza, the altezza diff will fit on the is200 just swap the output shafts
  4. try lubricating the clutch pedal pivot inside the car with white grease
  5. parts from lexus, not expensive, and easy to fix if its just the gasket
  6. yup, im pretty clued up on is200s.....:winky: ive had it confirmed the GS300 defo has vented rear discs
  7. answer is...there Vented. anyone know a decent outlet for the discs, pads and shoes....
  8. Can anyone tell me if the rear discs on the mk1 GS300 are supposed to be vented, or solid discs ive picked up a spare subframe, which has vented discs fitted, but i am not near to my GS to know if the GS has solid or vented rear discs
  9. TRD do seats for the is200, that come with the correct mounts there is also a airbag cancel resistor, ill dig out the part number, these are the seats i had in the monster before it was stripped out completely
  10. is200 and GS300 calipers are interchangeable (only front)
  11. check the 2 engines earths, the ecu will more than likely not have the factory alarm/immobiliser installed
  12. you got a 30mm drop, the springs are progressive, so become stiffer the more they are compressed. knackered shocks would not alter the car height. the fact the earlier cars were 10mm higher makes no difference, the spring is what makes the difference a car with 50mm springs and a car with 40mm springs, when both lowered by 30mm springs, will both be at the same height.............30mm
  13. its all to do with homologation and emmision issues, same reason we didnt get the IS300 contacting the dealer would be pointless, contacting Lexus Gb is the only option
  14. i like it, shame its a 1.8 coupled to an electric motor, a nice all petrol variant would have been nice
  15. ive never shipped into southampton, but i have into Bremerhaven. i undertsand that southampton is a decent dock
  16. the deregistration, is a pain in the *****, in japan, but the shipping shouldnt be a major issue, its getting the load/unload thats the biggest issue
  17. ive had no problems with the Data systems arches and Wald parts on my car
  18. not all the fibreglass options are nasty, depends where you get them from.....Japan has the originals, not the "nasty" stuff thats knocked of elsewhere
  19. it regulates fuel pressure, you already have one
