    no its the top-loading ones that are fujitsu (the new ones) the old bottom slot ones, are the nakamichi ones i been getting that err1 thing too recently, wot did the dealer say about it?

    how did you get the orange bit out of the indicators? are they still orange?

    yeah i know, those boot hinges are well out of date and why are they so far into the boot why cant they be on the edges so then at least it wont intrude on the boot

    the standard ones are levinson on the GS, LS, SC and on the top RX model the new IS should have levinson too

    i am definitely no expert, but surely you just plug the satnav into one of the inputs on the new stereo?

    what happened is that originally, lexus worked with nakamichi for the sound systems then formed alliance with mark levinson not sure what happened after that but i think that they didnt want to put levinson in the IS, so they got fujitsu to make the headunits until the new IS comes out (which will have levinson)

    ok i agree that the current models are all rebadged toyotas but once the company has separated, everything will be done separately. development will be separate, parts will be separate, and most importantly to them, their profits will be separate so they can put different levels of investment into development of models lexus will need more development to keep up with the likes of mercedes and bmw, whereas toyota...well, who cares!

    after they revised the IS (new stereo, etc) they made all the windows say lexus thats my theory anyway but all the light clusters and stuff still say toyota i remember when i took my test drive, i drove a '99 V plate and i asked if all the windows could be changed to say lexus and he said there was nothing they could do about it then my '02' plate arrived, and they all said 'lexus'! :D we aren't really driving fancy toyotas though, because the engines and things are different, its only the basic mechanicals that are the same, aren't they? ;)

    the actual replacement of spark plugs is very simple but not sure how complex it is in the lex why not let the nice people at lexus do it for you?

    that's the best way :D not sure i want them anymore, they are very cool but you only see them for the few seconds that the doors open for (and only really effective at night) really worth 300quid?

    that sounds ok then 180+VAT = £211.50 then fitting charge of £85 i suppose guess its reasonable then

    one other thing also asked that i wanted to add a sub and could i do it anywhere without affecting warranty was told that i would have to have it fitted by lexus if i wanted to keep warranty is this correct?

    spoke to my dealer today about getting some illuminated scuffs fitted, and was quoted a price of £297 incl VAT and fitting is this correct? i'm sure the price has been quoted on here somewhere, but i couldn't find it

    not too far from wembley mate, but i do come by there quite a lot anyway! actually, i live in southgate (more north london, and less west ) wot have you decided with the satnav?

    sounds like good value, because the lexus system is very good however, if you can install a different system in the same housing, that may be a better idea because you get the same look, but could also add extras such as tv tuner, or dvd, etc.

    i dont really have a clue about this, but if it is one of the cars with both front electric seats, (post 2001), then i would assume that there would be some sort of electric connection where the seats are. however, if it was one of the earlier models, with only an electric drivers seat, then it may not have any electrics under the passenger seat. sorry i cant give you any more help
