i've never thought the IS was noisy, (even when compared to my dads S-class :P ) and especially not from the sunroof have they changed something on the newer cars possibly but surely when u got an avensis, u got much more to worry about than wind noise jus kiddin, no one kill me please

how does anyone combat the problem of the water staying in the door mirrors? its really annoying after spending hours drying the car off, put it in the garage, and then drive it next day to find water droplets all over both front doors (and then you can't be bothered to dry it off again so you leave it there) end up with water marks on the doors :( is there a solution? (besides going to this american car wash or sumthin where they clean it up for you!)

all branches of kwik-fit do the repair too dont they they charge £5.95 if i remember correctly

thanks a lot Gareth, yeah it is pretty obvious another question, can the lexus alloys be repaired with that shiny edge they have? cos i kerbed one of them yesterday :( and want to know whether it can be done also, is it possible to make all the edges (shiny bits) chrome while leaving the rest as it is?

here's some pics i found Carbon fibre 1 Carbon fibre 2 the old cd players used to jam a lot, so make sure that yours doesnt the seats are half leather, and half escaine (the escaine is kind of like alcantara, fake suede)

those wood dashes are pretty horrible there are a few pictures in the gallery of those things - they're in carbon fibre effect, but it'll give you a general idea about how badly they fit

i think you're thinking the same thing i thought when i first saw it but that isnt an indicator repeater, there isnt one at all it seems to actually be some kinda logo, i guess it must say 'sportdesign' although this means that black chrome fog lights are also available from somewhere...

i wonder how much a full set IS300 seats costs all fitted and everything... anyone know the answer?

i've been wanting to do this for a while but havent been to any stores yet to see what's available there is one site in the US, www.video-nav.com which does this i emailed them but they said they werent sure whether it would work with the PAL system

you're best option is to get the beige carpet mats for special occasions (as bazza said) but to get some beige rubber mats too for everyday that way you keep the beige colour without the hassle of cleaning them your lexus dealer will have them made for you (cos lexus don't do rubber mats)

why are there any differences between the 200 and 300? surely where the bumper just fixes onto the body is the same on both cars? especially when the standard body is exactly the same on both models

yeah the new grille is far better than the old one (3 slats instead of 4 and they got rid of the silly metallic finish) also: the 3 washer nozzles smoked rear lights dvd navigation (if you want it) stereo that no longer eats cds better quality materials on dash (also they removed that silly grey bit across the dash) better quality leather on seats and also grey or beige piping depending on interior colour different locking mechanism (although i think the old one was better) both front seats are electric curtain airbags i think EBD (electronic brake-force distribution) was only added to the later cars basically there are a lot of differences which make the whole package a lot better but all depends how much you want to spend!

yeah the leather upholstery thing annoyed me too would lexus reupholster the middle bits in leather if we asked, would it be expensive? or does it cost a lot to have it done elsewhere? (but would that invalidate warranty for the seats upholstery?)

most radars are generally a waste of space probably best to spend a bit more and get an origin bluei or something like that (one of the GPS ones)
