    my car wont actually lock if the doors and boot aren't properly locked. is that extra battery just charged by the nomal battery or does it need to be reaplaced at some point?

    I remember payin around £100 and something for one tyre so that sounds about right. How many miles did you get out of those tyres?

    i'm not entirely sure about this, but i thought cars without satnav could not have it retro-fitted someone will correct me if i'm wrong i'm sure

    this may sound silly but how do you all clean the calipers? my front ones keep getting dirtier and dirtier but i can't seem to clean them properly to look like new

    How old is the car because that is an absolute bargain? Isnt that around £25000 new?

    i had the auto box fail on my last car after a year and a bit (20000 miles). it was a renault tho

    it is something to do with that, and that sounds totally plausible to me :D i see you have the chicane alloys, do you have a picture of the side of your car cos i'd love to see those alloys on the car

    would any security or audio installers be able to do this, not very good with electronics and would like a little backup if anything did go wrong with it

    its not just lexus and toyota, mercedes have already developed a hybrid S-class it seems to have come from nowhere because you always hear toyota talking about hybrids and the prius has been out for ages but mercedes kept this really quiet

    I think it actually looks quite good from all angles except the front three-quarter which makes the back look like a hatchback or even possibly an estate (i see the primera resemblance ;) ) i also like the '5-series' kink in the rear door :winky:

    I don't know anything about the xedos and have not even seen the interior of one, but i remember when it was released, it was a fantastic looking car and in many ways it still is. In my opinion, they should have released xedos as a separate brand (like lexus) rather than badge it mazda cos i think both the 6 and 9 were pretty good cars

    do lexus do the wheels in different colours themselves, or has someone done that afterwards?

    That is exactly how to do it (well its the way i do it anyway) but if you still have trouble, newly refurbished petrol stations (like all the BP ones since they became connects) have different pumps that work fine (in my experience)

    i had this problem pop up now and then for a while but now its gone away ERR1 means something wrong with the disc, dirty, scratched, etc

    correct me if i'm wrong, but i thought clarkson quite liked the IS does anyone remember one of the early episodes with the cool wall, he said the IS200 was a cool car but now Alan Partridge has one, its uncool, surely that means he doesnt have anything against the car

    i got lexus sensors on a blue car, the sensors are blue and you can hardly see them however, they cost £411 all inclusive, but if they are free, who cares!

    i've used dentwizard and was very happy with the result, wasnt too expensive either best thing is go down to dealer, and see which dent company they recommend (cos thats what i did and it worked out quite well!)

    go for the blue silver doesnt suit the racy nature of the IS, its more of a lazy saloon car colour (mercedes e-class springs to mind :P )

    yeah the button thing is fine, to stop you opening the boot accidentally (i often press the boot button instead of the unlock button when in a rush!) i have an '02' car and it doesnt open at all but when i had an '03' courtesy car it did open half way so i asked what the difference was. they said nothin is different, and hence said they would get new boot springs so best to try your dealer and see what he says

    doesnt look like the IS does anything ;) my brother just got a Z4 and thats got so many different settings that can be made

    how does it do 7.3 in the US but 8.2 over here? does it have a different gearbox? thought it was the same e-shift?

    is this all true, does that mean i can make the doors lock when pulling away?
