  1. Finally sorted out a shipped price to the UK for the above pictured strut braces. The price includes all shipping and taxes from Japan to your door. FRONT and REAR STRUT BRACES are £100 each with postage. Fitment are for the 1990-1994 models. 430's are slightly different, but around the same price and can get. Both together would be £190. I will list an ebay ad for the purchase of them in the near future. This will offer some piece of mind for me, buyer and that the goods are 100% correct. I have a set coming later next week as being shipped Monday and will find out how long to arrive, But looking at around 5-14days.
  2. STILL NEED THE ANSWER TO THIS QUESTION??? So Does anyone know if the superflex bush kit fits both ends of the trailing arm and not just the bottom hole or is the top hole slightly smaller. My top ones don't look that good either and thinking of changing the top ones aswell. ANYBODY KNOW IF THEY FIT BOTH ENDS??????
  3. Right firstly just fitted them today and my left one was shot. Changed and car a lot better around corners at the rear end, No bouncing effect feeling through the car. But the new question I have is that the trailing arm has two bushes, One each end. So Does anyone know if the superflex bush kit fits both ends and not just the bottom hole or is the top hole slightly smaller. My top ones don't look that good and thinking of changing the top ones aswell. ANYBODY KNOW IF THEY FIT BOTH ENDS??????
  4. They are still on ebay. You must search Ebay USA on advanced search. It's the seller which has the sets for the 90-1994 models. He has both in his shop and a lot of other aftermarket parts for lexus cars. Seen them today as listed your year and then went into his shop to check if he had MK2 ones, He did.
  5. You get what you pay for. If you want a mint car, Then get some mint money. I hear this so many times within the motor trade. people these days what something for nothing. £1,000 LS will need some work to get mint. If you can do it yourself then even better. Around £1,500 will get you a good one with some histroy, But you again will need some little work on the common faults to put right. £2,000 plus for a mk1 or mk2, Then I would expect Full Service histroy, Two master keys and the timing belt done. I paied £1,200 for mine six months ago, which didn't have histroy with it, But did have some stickers around the car which indicated that it had some. It had all the common faults, But I wanted silver with black leather inside. I done a full service which included the timing belt, plugs, leads, rotor arms, water pump, themostat, drive belt, distributors, leaking power steering pump, dash resistor, new master keys & chip, oil filter, air filter, PCV valve, transmission filter, LCD display, Rear pads, front pads and all fluids. This took me all of one weekend(19 hours) to do, But I know have a car that hasn't let me down and won't need any servicing for a while. Six months on and still going strong. I done the above to cover the missing histroy and I think I changed more wear and tear parts then Lexus would change on a full service. Thinking of changing the oil again, but checked this week and still very clear oil and still like new. I spent £1,000 on parts to get the car to a certain standard that give me piece of mind as I fitted all the parts and knew the condition of the car. Done the work myself so no labour to pay. If you want a cheap runaround then look elsewhere if you're not willing to pay for the service or money for a later model. They have their common faults, but are all easy to fix once you get into them. They are very realiable and easy to drive and just love the motorway. If you wnat a big saloon for cheap money then go for the BMW 530 with the M50 engine fitted in auto. they are easy to live with, Cheap parts now and cheap to buy. £800 should find you a good 93 K plater with histroy. Make sure it has the M50 engine only.
  6. If you find one please let me know What's the problems you have with the cars????? Or is just the engine light on only.
  7. They stand in a greenhouse and eat chicken manure. My sunflower are 6foot plus this year with it. I must say 6.1 at 15 is a tall lass. she should be on a catwalk. Glad you came from the Merc class. I nearly bought a S class, But all the right ups and reviews I read made it a no contest.
  8. Why not to both for total cornering. I like hard cornering as Wales has loads of corners to deal with, Not like flat middle England. Details of bars and how much you paided for them would be good.
  9. Change the following and your problem will be gone. Leads £50 Plugs £30 Rotar arms £20 Distributor caps £30 Job done.
  10. Change your cambelt every 60,000miles if you can. With the LS400 the drive belt must be changed every year or 12,000 miles if you can, As it's open to the weather. You can also take of one the rotar arm covers off and have a look at the belt throught that point and decide if it needs to be done. Mine was due, But after seeing it. The job wasn't due that soon, But did it anyway.
  11. There is another way of getting past emissions. Don't stick the prob right up the pipe, But just wave it near the exhuats for a reading. That's what 99.9% of MOT stations do to get their race cars through. The whole system is rubbish. I have some race cars which are not on the VSOH list and can't pass the emissions test. I've got to use a later model which has the cat in place and makes the cars fail on it. Very annoying, But know how to get around it. It's a case of who you know, Not what you know. VOSH need to update their car list and sort it out. If you lived in Wales I could sort it out for you. What we do to lower emissions is to add some Forte engine treatment and floor the arse of the car for a while before the MOT. Use the overdrive and power button to get the revs up. It's funny how many cars fail the MOT emissions due to the fact they are not hard driven. We have a few micras who belong to old people and never get hard driven until the MOT time.
  12. I'll get a set for my car and with my experience of driving track Nissan cars(Skyline GTR's & GTiR Pulsar's), I'm in a position of knowing what advantages they make over normal ride when cornering. Anyone with an early LS400 will notice the bodyroll on cornering. I'm holding onto the steering wheel, Go into a corner and sometimes end up holding the door and squeezing my bum to the seat. Never give me an answer to the question alex. No, Yes or yes if cheaper.
  13. This maybe of interset to some of you. After getting so much bodyroll from my 1993 LS400 around corners I've had a look into getting some New strut braces for the front and rear from my supplier in Japan. I deal in Nissan parts only, But this bodyroll is just getting on my nerves so much I've made an exception. So please feel free to guage interest of any of you that would be interested in buying some. The price I'm working with shipping to your door from Japan is around these figures at moment. Front sturt brace £180 - £200 delivered at most. Rear strut brace £160 - £180 delivered at most. There will be some discount on shipping and purchase of both items together. These figures are for airmail delivery at moment and not bought in group buy, So may vary. I'm unable to list pics, But if you need one then feel free to email a request for them. The same prices would apply to the LS400 UCF20-21 1994 model on aswell. So please leave some feedback on NO, Yes or Yes if they were cheaper.
  14. Loads on ebay and ebay US. There was four of five selling single one last week on ebay US. Also a breaker from UK would have one.
  15. Firstly remove the seals from the bottom of the boot to allow the water to run out. There are two little ones on the sides and one under the spare wheel. Remove the spare wheel cover and dry to remove any moisture stuck in it. This is a good time to wash out your boot if it's quite dirty. Mop up any water off the bodywork and wheel etc with some kitchen towels. If you can leave the boot open directly in the sun for at least two hours to help dry out any trapped moisture and dry out the cd changer if playing problem exists. Then remove the rear boot seal and check for spilts. If spilt then replace. Clean the seals and remove any dirt or green sludge that might know live there. Also clean around the bodywork and take extra effort and clean the area by the hinges for the boot as this is the most common place for sludge to stay and let the water in through the boot. Also clean the bodywork with some good polish or some water replent polish to help aid the water to run off the back and out. Replace everything when dry. With the cables I would say if it on your left(Passenger side) then it's either the leads for the electric aerial or the factory amp. You may have an aftermarket one fitted. Also could have had a dvd plyer fitted with the main unit in the boot with a lead running to the front TV screen(An extra option on the R34 4 door skyline). If still not sure then a pic would help.
  16. If it's on at start up, The it's a low level brake pad warning. If it comes on after pressing the brake pedal after starting and stays on when driving then it's one of two things. Rear brake light blub out or low brake fluid in the res in the engine bay. Sorry just read the P in the middle of the circle. Answer, Sticking caliper. Take off the bottom nut, Pull up caliper and then pull out the bottom bolt. This little item should be rust free with a good helping of oil or greese and should sring in and out quite easily and not be sticking. Reassamble caliper and try that. Do both sides. About 15mins to do including taking the wheels off.
  17. The sound the seat makes as my arse hits the soft leather and reminds you you are in a car that been well built. If I had a TV in it I would never go in the house as the seats are nice. The rest is proven quailty. Good example is the weight of the ashtray when you take it out.
  18. I've taken my stereo out a few times and disconnected the battery a few times. When reconnected everything I haven't yet lost the code only the radio channels that need retuning. Had the power removed 19 hours when doing the timing belt, Was the longest time the stereo had no power.
  19. Had this problem today and fixed quite easy later in the afternoon. Got in the car this morning and drove off, My door opened and I couldn't shut it(lock stuck on). Pulled the inside lever and then the door shut. Later I could get out, But not in with use on the handle. THE CURE AND CAUSE. The reason I found later was a bit of corrosion in between the rod that runs down from the handle to the main lock and the rod running across it. I pulled the bars apart and cleaned them up and spraied some WD40 on the parts. Worked it a little until things moved with ease. Reattached the panels etc. JOB DONE.
  20. Totally agree. Contact your local TV watchdog programme. In Wales we have X-ray and the ferret. When they go and queiry a customers problem, The companies always seem to sort it out straight away and fix the problem as a good will jesture. Power of the telly, Feel the force.
  21. Link for the chip. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...4221&rd=1,1 Before anyone states that the year advertised is 1995 on, I have emailed him to check for the ealier model years.
  22. ME ME ME, Very soon as just bought one from the US ebay for the LS400. Will update if I notice any difference or just a con.
  23. So which type do you order from powerflex to replace the lexus ones? I gather you used Supra ones, If so which model and year. Also a powerflex number would be helpful.
  24. My LS400(1993 Model) has folding mirrors, But not electric folding.
