  1. Top marks for Derby from me too.
  2. I had GSD3s on my IS300 and they were massively better than the OE Yokohamas, better in every way – better grip, quieter, longer lasting. Thoroughly recommended. But I have just bought one pair of Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetrics since I couldn’t get GSD3s anymore. After 40 miles, it’s a bit early to pass judgement.
  3. Hello and welcome! Once you've owned an automatic, you'll not want to go back to all that work with your left leg and left hand!
  4. Are 300s allowed to join in? Mine's Chamonix White (paint code 050) and it's obviously a very different colour to Rob's when you park them together. We white car owners have a thread all of our own too, here.
  5. Welcome to LOC, Swampy300. The car could be in any gear, but when you first move into manual the display will always show 5. As I said before, the display simply shows the highest gear the car could use, not the gear it is actually in. When you go into manual mode, the highest gear is always 5, until you use the buttons to change it.
  6. Welcome to LOC! A 300 SportCross would be an excellent choice. 2 is even better! Rubbish! There'll be an IS300 SportCross at the Midlands Meet next weekend!

    Hello

Hello & welcome - the IS300 is a great car!
  8. Do we allow Fiesta owners in here? Hia, Rik, hope you're doing OK. Anyone daft enough to go running, specially for a good cause like that, deserves sponsoring.
  9. 1st Feb looks good for me too. Hope to see you all then.
  10. You're not the only one, mate! GWS.
  11. Guilty as charged! I reckon the 300 SportCross is an absolutely brilliant car and close on 1,000 miles hauling Christmas presents up and down Britain’s motorways over the Christmas period has only served to reinforce that view. Welcome to LOC.
  12. In a similar vein: The key to success is hidden under the doormat of hard work.
  13. As a motorcyclist, this situation is one which really worries me. You really learn to look out for anything on the right when you go for an overtake – since it’s so much easier to accelerate on the bike, you can (and do) go for overtakes where cars couldn’t and someone turning right across your path is the nightmare scenario. I know several folk who’ve been badly hurt by exactly that. Glad you’re OK – those steel boxes do absorb so much more collision energy than a set of bike leathers!

    Is200

Agreed. My "54" plate IS300 is a stunningly good car and makes a great motorway cruiser for those occasional long trips. The 200 will have a little less oomph, but be equally good at teh job.
  15. Does this make Scalextric the only affordable motorsport for 2009?
  16. 77.62% with my vote - the other two stories were pathetic anyway!
  17. you need to get a new keyboard mate as it appears yours is broken!! LOL!
  18. Or consider Birmingham - the railway station's next to the airport and it's 40 minutes to MK on the train.
  19. Been there, done that. The Micra's something which goes a little less well over the mountain!
  20. I’m a Laxey boy, although I’ve lived “across” since I was a kid. However, there’s still family and lots of friends on The Island, so I am there several times a year – usually on the bike rather than in the car, but my IS300 has had a couple of trips over. It goes “quite well” on the mountain road!
  21. 125k? On Mona's Isle?? It's not a local car, then!! Welcome to LOC
