    Me thinks it is time to swap brands as 10,000m is not enough out of mine.Fronts are wearing unevenly but rear fine but i only have 18,s on rear as first owner to tight to buy the 10" rears .I have tried to source the rears but cheapest i have found was £500 with knackerd tyres and i think they make the car look so much better .

    i HAVE PIRRELI P ZEROS ON mine at £170 each so would be very keen on a cheaper tyre that do,s not compromise safty and handling .The pirrelis have done 10,000 miles nearly and are due to be replaced on the front.Tyres are 18,s all round .

    Have to agree with fidgits on this one it,s the driver not the car .But would have to say if pushed white van man is by far the worst driver on the road .

    I hear specs savers are good for glasses 100,000 miles cars only done 38,000 would,ent catch me buying a car with HIGH mileage.And yes it is like driving a magic carpet it,s a lexus after all. it did right itself but not for long turned out to be a bad solder in the rear speaker .

    I would buy the lexus but tell them you can not pick it up for a few weeks and in that time you should be able to sell bmw for a least 9k as the px price is pants.Also i would keep the alloys they look so much better with 18,s

    It is a fad for these kids to nick them i have lost loads you are right they put them on their bikes .I bought the ones with the tiny screw at top to hold them on tight and seems to be working they aint got the brain to use a small screwdriver :P

    No main dealer would trade out a car to the public with a warrenty it just would not be cost affective i agree with dave webb on this one it sounds to good to be true and it will be interesting to see how it pans out .I hope for your sake mervt that it is as it seems and is a bargain , fingers crossed . :)

    If this car is being sold to you by lexus it will have all paintwork blemishes sorted as they will not sell a car with marks on paintwork. also car will not qualify for lexus warranty mine is a 97 and just scraped in .They will supply you with a toyota warrenty which is alright but not as good as the lexus one .The car sounds to good to be true and a very low price for a lexus dealer i would have thought 7k to be about right .I would not bother with to many checks as the dealer will have done all of these just the usual tyres ,condition of interior etc .

    I remember the vw badge nicking craze as i worked in a vw garage it was almost every vw that had them nicked .If this is the new craze i will debadge mine without a doubt ,as you say it is the damage the halfwits cause not the loss of the badge.

    Have you checked the starter connection it could be loose or even give it a squirt of wd 40 .If not then take out starter oil up the gear end (the spinny bit )pop it back in and pray, if not work sounds like starter on it,s way out .You can get the starter reconned but i am not sure on price but i would think a new one would be exspensive .

    Comming home last night down a very steep hill in the wet my car hit a man hole cover and the back end sort of skipped it felt like the whole back end moved i have had this before in this car but not as bad .It realy feels unnerving and makes the old heart beat a bit quicker .I am going on the theory that it is the bigger tyres doin this but i have had 200sx which is rear wheel drive and more powerfull and it did not do it any one else had this or any ideas on how to stop it .
