  1. Yeah you won't regret it. Especially if you have a HUGE Jazz. I am looking at one of those (like the new shape). They just fit soooooo much in.
  2. Parthiban - not quite true. Thats stone chip which is the ripply bit on the bottom, but the front bumper, bit (or maybe all) of the bonnet has a "special" treament, according the manwell. Go to New Car Features, Body, Rust Resistant Body and then Anti-Chipping Application in the online manual - Sorry, didn't post a link as not using online one and pain to save PDF etc!! There are 3 different types of paint treatment in different areas of the car. None at the front really work though eh!! :)
  3. surely, if you have tested the connections and wiring in the mirror and all seems fine - i.e. its getting voltage, then the motors should move! Have you tried the mirror from the other side - just a thought!
  4. is that not a V70R which is a slightly different beast yo a T5. They also used to do a T5R didn't they? I do like them though, nice cars and practical too. Might have to replace the IS with one if have another kid. Or an XC90!
  5. This is the link to the kwik-fit info linky
  6. They will probably get in chipsaway or someone similar to do their work!! The dealers can't do it themselves unless they do paintwork and that will cost a lot more than £70!!
  7. I would do the clutch on its own if you are that bothered by it - mainly due to the cost of the flywheel! Then if its still there, do the flywheel - if you are doing the work yourself that is. Its a lot of money to just fix this issue though. Why not just live with it and do it when clutch needs doing!
  8. They might do it for nought, though if they do charge it will only be a couple of pound. Trying to remember if they do it every so many years as part of the service? Glad its fixed - taxi ranks sometimes interfere too. If your batteries are low then the transmitting power could drop in which case any interference will swomp the remote!
  9. Thought all IS's were water based paint with an antichip thingy on the front sections - its in the manual somewhere near the top/beginning (online IS manual). But, the front it mega prone to stone chips. I remember years ago someone complaining that you only had to sneeze near the car and the paint would chip off!! ha ha
  10. Go for the Honda, the boot in the sportcross is not so big and the mpg will grind on you. Plus, although the quality and ownership of the Lexus will be 100%, the rear wheel drive is nice, but you will probably hate the clutch/drive take up action you will get after a while (unless auto - were these only auto?) in which case the 4sd auto is rubbish compared with the IS250 auto box! Its a bit basic! :-) And with a kid on the way, you will need all the space and practicality you can get, which is not really the Lex! And the rear leg room is rubbish, and for car seats, its a nightmare to get one thats fits correctly - though you will have Isofix on that model I think.
  11. is this machine the same for all Toyota garages? And also your prices of 49.99?
  12. new clutch and flywheel is expensive though - especially the latter I thought! It is annoying, try a tad more revs when lifting clutch - sometimes helps.
  13. Well, I currently work for the TV Group at Sony so in a way I am biased (only cos I get a staff discount so for the money, nothing comes close) but the 200Hz Sony is supposed to be very good. I am a little dubious about the 600Hz model Panasonic, as it has to be very very good at interpolation to generate so many missing frames. Unless its more of a marketing gimic and the 600Hz doesn't actually relate to the frame refresh - bit like the Samsung LED tv - its NOT and OLED but they make it out to be one!!? Panasonic Viera or however its spelt, do give a nice picture and have sharp graphics. But the last I saw, the freeview (say BBC1) wasn't quite as good as a decent Sony can be. The first Pana freesat TV's were not that great as couldn't do a good black very well. Personally I would only get an LCD and not a plasma - but thats personal choice. Either one, you will not be disappointed with. Good luck.
  14. A long time ago BMW decided to change the codes etc meaning that a 318 was not a 1.8 anymore, but started as a 1.9 (which I think was then upped to a 2.0), the old 323 was a 2.5, the 325 was I think a 2.5 and possibly then upped. They said it was to relate to the spec of the car, but still kept the SE and sport etc logos, so dunno what they did it for. I wouldn't bet that they still don't give a cassette player as standard fit and you have to pay to get a cd head unit!! haha
  15. Nigel was the last in a run of proper racing drivers. I liked Coulthard too (not like that though!!! :) ) but shame he never paid off - too much messing around swopping leads when in Mclaren good days. You can't deny Shumachers talent either.
  16. I have a top loader that I have taken apart. But I could get at all my disks by pulling the top cover off (towards the rear of the unit) and then lifting the spring loaded bit that sits across the disks up and then towards the rear. (difficult to explain without picks!!) The each disk can be manouvered out. When you took radio out, was it in CD mode still or back to FM? Might be worth switching back to FM incase it means laser head retracts or something. Can you post a pic?
  17. damn it, when I started to read this, I thought it was gonna turn into a dirty story where she had a short skitrt etc on too! How disappointed! :( ;) Anyway, well within your rights mate.
  18. for the sum of £40m, ferrari etc could run a second team, with the same cars, but under the budget cap. They can then run the normal team with no cap etc, but use the capped team to get unlimited track testing etc for the other teams car! Play the game!
  19. Not got mintex pads, but have been thinking about buying them as a replacement. I do remember someone else had similar noise with their pads. Maybe they need bedding in a bit? BTW - do the mintex pads have the small hole drilled in the sides where the pad "spring" thingy slots into?
  20. wasn't a granite grey car was it? Couple of kids crashed one into a tree in east london yesterday! Was on Sky news website!
  21. Did you fix this? If you rock the engine does it move much - could be engine mounts, but then it should be the same when hot or cold!?
  22. Go for original, or mintex. In the past there have been lots of good and bad about the greenstuff pads.
