  1. Take it back to whoever did the head gasket and let them sort it out.....
  2. Thats going to be one cool motor and a few people gonna get some surprises at the lights :) I'm also wondering what the conversation will sound like when you ring to get insurance ;)
  3. November 19th the Xbox 360 gets a major update to the front panel that will enable it to match the WII with regards to family based items (allbeit with better graphics) it is gaining more and more WII like games and they are turning the console into a family hub.. I have a WII... spent ages tracking it down.. got a load of games... set it up.. a week later it was back in the box... 10 months later.. its still there.. lol Ah...but the Wii already has it.....cant keep doing this "I'll wait a few weeks until someone brings out an upgrade" - otherwise you'll either never buy one or never be happy with what you have bought. If you have a Wii and its in its box - then I have some advice for you - Save it a couple of weeks and then put on ebay - Think you'll get a good deal closer to xmas when all the shops run out :) Infact, dont you think the Wii is quite Apple like? Perhaps its a conspiracy and should be pronounced backwards - its actually an Apple iiw (pronounced Ewwh) Thats why its so good and trances on the rest of the consoles..... ;) (Before anyone attacks me - I'm joking re the Apple....)
  4. Yes...still do the locking nuts - I just bought a full set of nuts (20) from Lexus (and yes - at just under 6 quid each!!!) I was asked if I wanted any locking ones I know they are a little expensive - but the quality is much better than the cheap stuff on ebay....
  5. Cant comment on any of the others but my son has a Wii and the best things about it are 1) Promotes family style play rather than losing your children to the console - Lots of shared playing games and fun 2) Most games are pretty active - rather than simply sitting with a controler in your hand - you are jumping, throwing, punching and twisting about with the controller - Keeps the kids a little more active than most the consoles and again makes it a fun experience for all the family. After buying my son the PS2 when it came out - I regretted it after a few days - as I lost him to the system. In the end, had to ban him from it - Just think they are not very sociable things....The Wii on the other hand is completely different. Worth finding if anyone has one who you know and give it a try.....same with all the other consoles.
  6. any reason or just fancied a change :winky: Www.bahamutcars.com Workshop manuals, Gs300/430 :)
  7. Junc 10. - looked a write off and caused 7 mile tailback this morning
  8. www.easypostuk.com is a typical example...not tried a quote though
  9. same answer as last time you asked. They have shot up at the dealer- I paid 130 cut and ready (not programmed but did that myself)
  10. As a private individual you'll be lucky to get a rate like £20 for that weight - Was the original seller a shop? Do a search on google for 3rd party shipping - They act as middlemen between the standard domestic carriers (Bus Post, Parceline, DHL, FedEx etc) and you often get a reasonable rate - they have high volumes and pass some of the discount onto you - they keep their %age. Most of the major courier services wont collect or handle without an account (the reputable ones anyway) so the above is a good way of getting a reasonable rate and collection from your home. Target used to have a very good reputation for quality of service / minimal damages - but now they have been bought by Citylink - I'm not so convinced....
  11. Fine using iTunes after- just don't do the iPhone update when new software released I upgraded mine to 2.1 then quickpwn'd If apple do release update just keep saying no to update until new quickpwn released ;-) Seen some interesting adds about Jailbroken apps. Do you still use on iTunes? I've unlocked some iPhones but never used them after, whats the phone like for software updating after its been jailbroken?
  12. how easy is it to jailbreak the iphone? ive got a 1st gen too. Http://www.quickpwn.com Free and easy
  13. Jailbroken iPhone 3G - anything else is pure rubb.... (lol) - Only joking. Jailbreak fixes the following; No option to customise message tone other than preloaded Apple tones - I can put any song I want as a ringtone for free ;o) No 2 apps can run at the same time - Can run apps in the background Loudspeaker too quiet - now luch louder Poor Camera - Camera via app with zoom / brightness etc - I find the piccies quite reasonable for a phone No video capture - Video capture via free app - not brilliant - but again - its a phone ;o) I think its a great phone - although can be a little buggy - but then again - no worse than any of my previous phones. Before that the best phone I owned was a Nokia N80 - Last of the quality feel phones that Nokia produced - all the newer ones seem a little flimsy to me?
  14. I have one, I have my own computer business and I didnt buy it for its looks but for its functionality
  15. I match what dave says above....25 mpg sounds a little thirsty - I get 27/28 out my 430 on a motorway run - and thats not hanging about either. I can get 25 mpg on my drive to work in the morning on the A5 if I take it easy....thats with quite a few stops and starts
  16. A little belated (not been on all weekend) but sorry to hear about your car Chris.....Hope everything turns out ok
  17. From my past experience - they'll probably charge you for the investigative work.....Only had one dealer thats never charged me - which was also the one I received the best service from (although couldnt find the problem) but I did have a brand new GS300 for 4 days as a courtesy car.
  18. Same in all the Benelux countries too - Just a different way of driving - Indicator is for telling you they ARE pulling out - not that they want to. You soon get used to it - and to be honest - its quite nice to do be able to do it yourself - I really enjoy driving on the continent - especially at night - IMO there also appears to be a lot less lane hogging and driving in the outside lane - they pull back in very quickly....
  19. hopefully- anyone know how to do? Can you do with obd2 kit ? Looked on the us forums and found a way but involves basically shorting out connections on the diagnostic port- don't like the sound of that as could turn out expensive :( Someone did use my car yesterday and they had put the seat right back- wondered if there were any airbag connections under the seat they could have disturbed?
  20. sorry lexkid but the logic is flawed for oh so many reasons The only reason you are saving fuel is because you are driving differently and you have convinced yourself that the engine sounds better. These things cannot possibly work - and the fact that you haven't mentioned resetting your ecu (assume you haven't) proves it- because if it had made any difference at all- your ecu would take time to "learn" - it would not be immediate and would be a gradual improvement Sorry but you have wasted your money
