  1. You pull it off. It feels like your going to break it but you won't. You may be best sticking your head into the drivers footwell with a torch.
  2. Yeah I think the sport ones look great - hence i have some too :D! Nice one.
  3. I think TDI have a TTE set in stock, well they did a week or 2 ago.
  4. Nope. There are only 4 plugs in that pack hence the price!! Plus they only list 6 & 8 cylinder engines as compatible lol. You need 6 plugs 2D. Best bet is the Denso IK20s from US Ebay for performance or SK20s if you want the long life. SK20s are stock plugs. Also can look at the NGK iridium plugs too, but don't know codes. Just make sure you are getting 6 plugs. Loving the fact the IS200 in ur Sig is FWD lol!!
  5. Well people say to always reset after these things. I did after mine as they are slightly cooler burning so different to before and its only a couple of fuses that need removing.
  6. Wozza said last night that they were going to give us a Saturday Slot. Don't know the dates though.
  7. If you are going to import them then you should look at the Hotchkis ones on ebay as they work out at about £200 before all the shipping/vat/customs extras and are v stiff.
  8. Ok well i'll be there untill 11ish. I'll bring it with me.
  9. Not sure the 99s had the tip. You coming to the Ace Cafe tomorrow night? In which case i may have a prezzy for ya! EDIT: Just checked the thread and ur not. Oh well. Dont think its worth a polish dude either way.
  10. Well i've got some C-One ARBs on order from Dave Ellen and have upgraded my exhaust. I can tell you in a few weeks which ones were the best bang for buck. But i think everyone on here has the right answer. I'm just hoping i feel the same way after mine are fitted- i'm sure i will!
  11. I would stay till 10:30-11. Want to come so is quite likely that I will.
  12. Cos VW would only be able to sell it in Audi's. It would have to be 300+ bhp for the application of the technology to be worth it. They can allready get 260 (Chippable to 310BHP) BHP with just a turbo. The whole idea of the 1.4TSI engine was to get the same power as the 2.3V5 out of a 1.4 for emmisions and fuel consumption figures. Also apparently, haven't driven one myself, the Twin Charged engines are quite jerky in their power delivery.
  13. Yeah stick me down as a possible. Will try and make it, but pretty busy at the mo with new house. Not that thats stopped me buying loadsa parts recently lol.
  14. I used to have iffy starting on cold mornings until i changed my plugs. If you can afford it i would change them anyway if you've had the car over a year and don't think they've been changed, plus i noticed a tiny bit extra grunt low down with the Denso IK20's. Really easy job to do, airbox off, charge pack out, switch plug and reverse x 6
  15. Hi guys, Must admit that i know nothing of minor suspension parts. I'm looking to upgrade my ARBs and have been advised that its best to get your droplinks replaced at the same time. Now i've called my local Lexus parts dept (Park Lane in Battersea) and they have said it'll be roughly £180 (+ VAT -10% Gold Discount) for the parts! Now i've seen some droplinks on Ebay for alot less: £150 for all 4 corners now do you think they will be as good as OEM?? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...6043%26_fvi%3D1 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...2195%26_fvi%3D1 Item # 220231916043 (front) + 330262322195 (rear) if links are broken. And secondly should i really need to replace all my droplinks when i do the ARBs or is it case that they may get broken in the swap so need to have spares - so 1 for each end will do? cheers, Ed
  16. Have you installed the drivers for the cable?? Yeah as its saying no hardware interface it will most likely be a problem with the cable. If the drivers are installed then make sure your not using the cable in a USB hub and try a different port on the pc. edit: in a rush earlier. more info now :)
  17. I think the Denso's are better and everyone gets them shipped via US Ebay as its much cheaper than sourcing them from the UK.
  18. As a Wandsworth resident i feel for you. I used to live on the training route for the traffice wardens as i was right by the Town hall. I got a parking ticket the other day for not filling in my number plate correctly on a 1hr Zone pass in my window. I'd smudged the bloody pen while writing!!!!! Also on another parking ticket i paid it online and they refused to acknowledge that paid and doubled the fine! Its really silly - i'm against the fact that they outsource their "Civil Enforcement Officers" to other companies. To my mind its in a way like contracting out the police force!! Well maybe not that serious. Good luck on the appeal and welcome to LOC
  19. The answer is no the difference is not large enough on the handling front to be noticeable when you sit in any random IS. However once done to your own car you do notice the difference straight away.
  20. Welcome to the club. Unfortuantely i have found Lexus Twickenham to be pretty useless, however Lexus Park Lane (Vauxhall) are very good. However for a 60,000 mile service, MOT and Cambelt change they quote me around £1k!! Their labour is over £100/hr however I took my car in to have the ball joints looked at and they gave it a full safety check and valeted it for free even though the ball joints were fine! I took the car in to see them as I had a similar problem to you. The problem is that when the pads were changed they threw away the clips that hold them in place in the caliper - so as they are floating they bang backwards and forwards in the caliper when you brake, go over bumps etc. Problem for you is the parts dept for Twickenham is the other side of the A4 i think but i will be the best place to source the clips. You may be able to get a kit but it costs around £60-70. Your best buying the clips individually as they work out around £10-15 a wheel.
  21. Well i'm thinking of getting some Eibach's put on my car, so would have sport springs to sell. I would also go and see Tony and the guys @ WIM (especially as ill need my Geo recovered afterwards) to get it done so if you PM me we may well be able to work something out along the lines of getting it all done the same day there.
  22. Hi and welcome to the club, Its really not a big problem installing a double din unit in the IS and while Wozza's fascia looks really good I dont find that the original Autoleads fascia/cage is that bad, and deffo not annoying enough to me to spend the time Wozza did on his. Just remember with an SE it has a factory fitted amp that is not compatible with after market stereos and needs be bypassed with a lead off Ebay. However i do know that you can buy some sort of adaptor (GROM?) that means you can plug ur iPod into the cd changer port of the Lexus head unit, and im sure someone will be along shortly to advise. Not sure its iphone compatible though, I know the ipod control on my double din isn't (JVC AVX-810 built in usb port) Ed
  23. its a standard bumper with a sports gill and a front lip. dont know which one. the intercooler may make it look different.
  24. like steve said itll come up eventually. the real problem ur gonna have is that they are going ot be wanting to get rid of the interior in one go rather than selling bits off. Especially the full leather interior. You could always swap the door cards for 2 ecsaine ones if the scratch is that annoying. Ed
