I took mine off and used metal polish and car polish on them - made quite a difference for such a simple cleaning exercise :D Got to be worth a go before you buy new ones - the chrome comes up a treat.

That sucks. Not had my annual invite yet either = perhaps they are cutting back this year as they have so many new models on offer that they don't think they need to try so hard at the moment ?

Still can't believe the apathy towards this type of event - how many LOC members are there / how many have read this thread / how many have donated even £1. This is a cause close to my heart and is sometrhing that affects so many people that we ALL know someone impacted by this disease. So come on everyone let's make this support event work. PLEASE.

Just had this mail from my missus re: her sister: She's in Edinburgh today. Apparently thought there is a huge conference at Docklands tonight and tomorrow to do with the Olympics which is being sponsored by Deloitte Touche and most of their consultants (1500 +) are travelling to London today for it. She's a bit worried about some of her friends that she can't get hold of. May explain the London targets - not heard of any out of London ...

Seriously ? Brilliant - at the very least we will get a good bit of redevelopment done and it will create some work for a while - let's hope it all goes well and continues to get the support it needs to make it a success.

Used Mobil 1 in mine and now doing so in my RAV. Always got dealer to use the oil I supplied - and always get Mobil to confirm use by e.mail prior to initial use. That way a warranty rejection would make interesting legal case between Mobil and the dealer who "used" it ... PS - I have always used standard oil for first 5 - 10k for running in then switched - as I understand it Mobil 1 will not allow parts to bed in so easily and can lead to burning oil - probably only a rumour but heeded non-the-less.
