I have an old back-box (just about to bin it - you could have that - put a hammer thru it and show her (already having taken yours off and stowed it away) - then go out to "Lexus" for another - get shock at cost - and come home with your new one (already bought and stashed at a mates ....). -

Used the Comma one too - one floor behind passenger seat - covered back seat and pass seat / console in damp - wiped off ok and smelt nice though - no long term harm but I did panic at the time

Stick-on - Halfords do some very strong white double sided pads esp. for the job - just make sure the surfaces are very clean and dry.

Used to get 360 - 400 in mine - with or with K&N fitted - around 26 - 28mpg from memory. RAV now struggles to get 300 to a tank - doing same mpg but it's only a little tank :P Amazing how you miss a longer range - I'm forever filling up now ... :duh:

Never had the bug before LOC - now I do and it is made worse by going onto TOC - will I ever find a cure ? Just when you think you are over the worst of it along comes another brain-wave, some more wallet rummaging and another shiney bit appears ... :P

Brilliant alternative post for a car based forum !! Think I belive the deja vu etc - esp after so many experiences of being involved in meetings / negotiations and having a real sense of ground-hog day with the proceedings - either it is because I have pre-assessed every outcome in so much detail that events match my "memory" or deja-vu really exists ... Sometimes events are so clearly "repeated" that I have to stop for a second and snap out of it. Spooky :duh:

I for one will never buy a car without full size spare. Ford offer full size as a £30 option on the new Focus - looses few mm of boot space but so what. Got caught out last year in Wakefield at 4:30pm on a Friday with a long drive down south - space-saver on a company Avensis = 50 miles at 50mph (urg) - luckily we got a local repair just before they closed ...
