  1. Was his a IS200 or a IS300? I personally cannot think as to why the rear would be lowered, however if its sports model( I am assuming the 300 sportcross could possibly have the SE and Sport variant) in which case then the sport variant would be slightly lower than the SE(as is the case with the 200SE and Sport variant)
  2. You won't be able to get any regular RON95 petrol shortly,so you will either have to use the new E10(which some cars can't use)or use tesco momentum 99,V power,bp ultimate or esso synergy
  3. Before I bought my IS250 f sport I owned a IS200 sport which I only filled up with momentum 99,and since owning the IS250 have done the same although have occasionally filled up with Shell V power when and if I am near one,and to be honest can't say I noticed any difference between the two. Moreover in the last 20 or so years I have never had an issue filling up with momentum 99 😊👍
  4. Hello David and welcome to the LOC,hoping you find the forum educational and informative,if yours is a HDD as is mine, then its main dealer only and cost give and take a bit is between around 160 - 200 quid( although I have heard that a few owners have managed to update it without going to a main dealer)
  5. That was almost 13 years ago I would have it changed ASAP, regardless of visual inspection always better to be safe than sorry
  6. What year is your RX300 and have you ascertained if it has bluetooth to start with?🤔

  8. May John's soul rest in peace and he many contributions continue to be of benefit to others 👍
  9. Just throwing the cat amongst the pigeons here, what happened to the good old days when we checked tyre pressure once a fortnight or thereabouts?🤔gone in the name of technology and progress?🤔 and now an added item and expense to replace when they go wrong.
  10. Lol I won't argue but its a fail,if car is fitted with a cat it has to pass with a cat, might do with a bent mot tester though 🤣🙃😄
  11. If you want to remain legal then cat back is the way to go,if you go decat your car will fail its emissions, which will then require the cats be fitted in order to pass its emissions test
  12. The cabin filter unfortunately tends to get forgotten by owners and garages alike, until they begin to smell when the air conditioning/climate control is used. On some newer cars the glove box removing to access it so they end up being left unchanged. To be honest any make or brand would do,you could stick with toyotas, but would have it changed every couple years,as they are a breeding ground for bacteria.
  13. Be careful what you buy off the bay, all that glitters is not gold as the saying goes 🤔
  14. Not sure that the company is worth its salt then 🤔,maybe they just sand it back and spray it.Find one that acid drips and powder coats, and they will be as good as new
  15. With regards to your tyre and wheel questions, yes they would, except you manage to get them with tyres on and then again the wheels need to be the right stud pattern and fitment and the tyres also need to be the correct size 😉
  16. Just make sure you have them done properly, that is acid dipped and powder coated as they last longer, rather than just sanded back and sprayed and avoid kerbs as best as you can 🙂
  17. Have you tried changing the battery in the key fob, worked for me when I used to own a IS200 sport and had a similar issue
  18. Why a jag though, both nice cars but you need a big wallet too lol 😆
  19. It's a sort of chip stone protector/ guard, there is usually one on each side
  20. I had a p0420 on my IS200 sport years ago when I owned it and mine was triggered by a tiny pinhole exhaust leak near the o2 sensor
  21. Also bear in mind that the grass is not always greener on the other side 🤔
  22. I used momentum99 in my IS200 sport when I owned it and am currently using it in my IS250 f sport and have never had any issues with it 🙂
