  1. You may want to get your throttle body cleaned and the throttle position sensor tested and adjusted correctly. They can both have an effect on idle.
  2. If you have a 2001 car then you shouldn'd need the set. They should be able to program your car for a new master key on its own. I don't think there is any other way because Lexus will need to program the car using their diagnostic equipment. You can always join the Lexus Owners Club Gold membership which will save you up to 15% off Lexus parts and servicing to help lower the bill.
  3. It is only a minor service. However the coolant (or is it brake fluid?) also needs to be changed after 3 years which puts the price up a bit.
  4. Sometimes air can build up around the coolant temp sensor which can affect the running.
  5. Don't believe everything you read http://www.lexus.co.uk/news.php?page=article&id=sales_soar
  6. There is no TV function although it can be added by using third party products.
  7. Info on TRD ones: http://www.toyota-trd.com/en/strt/s_stblzrbar.html
  8. You can always buy a wheel on ebay - just as cheap now as getting one refurbed
  9. I think the EEC system works differently on newer models which is what my link describes. On older systems the tank can have +ve and -ve pressure at certain times. Check valves in the system should prevent either condition getting excessive. +ve pressure is controls by check valves in the fuel cap and one of the valves in the charcoal canister. -ve pressure is controlled by another valve in the charcoal cansiter. If you are getting excessive pressure then you should get your charcoal canister checked.
  10. You don't say what age your car is. If it's a pre-facelift model (pre 2001) then the control system also has to be replaced as you cannot program another key without a master. I've tried a key from the US. Couldn't get the remote locking to program (may use different frequency) and I cannot find the procedure for programming the immobiliser as it's different from the US procedure.
  11. tony is still telling jokes i see probably the week or so wait or their ignorance of not knowing the product exists :o a PM to Chris Shipley and it arrives in the post a few days later.

  14. Yes, your IS200 is a 99 isn't it? It'll have OBD2 so you'll need a diagnostic reader (and they're not exactly cheap!). You can only read via OBD-II not the simple method. PC based OBD-II readers can be brought for £55 upwards.
  15. If the engine light is coming on then you need to get the fault codes read
  16. Was it the first year they came out or after they got rid of the runflats and modified the suspension?
  17. Do you have the TT model? If so you shouldn't be using Green Stuff pads on something as powerful as that - their Red Stuff pads should be used. Having said that I have used Red Stuff before on my Supra and they were so so poor compared to the OEM pads.
