  1. Save yourself £500 and fit an aftermarket parking aid. Yes the latest IS comes with the 11 spoke wheels
  2. Should be alright with the SS as they do not use the pillowball uppermount which I think is the cause of the noise.

  4. But your diesel doesn't put out 280bhp. If you want to know more information then look at the Mark 2 Toyota Prius, it shares the technology.
  5. Found some pics. The car isn't a sport so it looks at bit high. http://www.lexusownersclub.com/gallery/album02?page=10
  6. The Flex models at least. I believe the CS ones are fine.
  7. The series II wheels are 18x8 I believe the series I wheels are 18x8.5 Both use 245/40 18 tyres so you can keep your old ones.
  8. I did get a price from Chris last year. Over £300 each and I'm not sure if that is with centre caps (which are £33 each). There are 3 on ebay at the moment (no centre caps) - I have 6 of them so I can let one go but I haven't tested if any of those are buckled.
  9. Not heard of problems with the series II OZ sport wheels but you never know. They are expensive - much more than the series I wheels. Somebody in LOC had a series I with series II wheels. Never saw a picture - I think they have sold the car now.
  10. Get a quote for the next two/three services and see if you will save money. They should cover all service requirements except cambelt change.
  11. You can buy the workshop manuals from Lexus. Use an online subscription company such as alldatadiy or get the 3rd party manual CDs that exist on ebay.
  12. I wouldn't. EGR can reduce engine power but Toyota program the ECU to compensate for it and by disabling it you may get too high engine temps. or get knocking which will be detected by the knock sensors and retard ignition timing (which will reduce power anyway). This explains more: http://www.autoshop101.com/forms/h61.pdf
  13. Lexus haven't release fuel consumpsion figures. The 600 miles won't be on the combined fuel figure. The engine runs all the time unless you come to a stop. The 400h is not just about economy. It's also being sold as a higher performance RX.
  14. Here's the location If you clamp the vacuum pipe going to the valve that will stop it.
  15. I think you would be better off putting on a super/turbo charger. Have a look here for a start: http://www.swiftracing.com/
  16. Not really sure what you are asking. An engine swap? If so then you would need ECU, radiator, gearbox etc as well as the engine. If you are thinking of selling you 300 and getting a 430 then I would say yes if you can afford it.
  17. That is a very big drivetrain loss if those figures are correct, 25% :o
  18. The belt will have a tendancy to move up to the guide. If something is wearing away at the edge the belt will keep moving forward.
  19. Did you have both wheels off the ground? Anti roll bar comes off easier if it's not being loaded on one side.
