UX300e 12v Battery woes
rayaans replied to rayaans's topic in Lexus UX200, UX250, UX250h, UX300e Club
Its already off I had an issue 6 months into ownership where the battery would discharge every 3 days despite being driven daily. I turned it off an its been fine since. So the battery today when AA man came was at 6V. With car locked and key away it was using 0.5V so no parasitic drain as such. Car was charging the battery at 16V when it turned on but this went down to 9.5V. Ive taken it out for a 20 mile journey to see what happens. Which battery charger have you got? Im thinking either a jump starter pack or a trickle charger -
So the 12v battery on the UX300e is tiny. I went on holiday for 12 days thinking it should be fine - obviously was discharged on my return. It was started by AA and I took it for a 15 min drive thinking that would be enough to sort it out - unfortunately wasnt and 1 day later it discharged itself. 2 questions really - what is the best solution for this? a trickle charger and any recommendations (ive never used one so don't even know where to start and how to set it up) or something else?

Dis-abling Terms of Use notice?

I have the same issue. Do you mean the key when you say remote? Didn't realise you had to hold the key near the start button -
I would appeal on their website stating that the letter was received after 15 days to no fault of your own (Christmas holidays, postal backlog etc etc). They should reduce it to the lower amount. At that point just pay it. Parking eye have and will take people to court, sometimes it also ends up on your credit report if not paid and they issue proceedings.

Doesn't matter what brand is fitted as long as it's the same size and load rating / run flat. Can get these at most tyre shops

My mate has a Ferrari F8 from new. No issues with it so far but minimal mileage and it does spend most of its time in the garage / trickle charger with regular detailing. Bit of a pain to drive apparently as scrapes bumps if not taken side on and roads are too narrow for it most of the time.

Don't think it'd matter how close you park to the wall with the new NX. It's got encrypted canbus anyway so they won't use the canbus method

Not had an issue with it so far. Tbh I can't even tell when it's changed gears so is quite similar to a CVT in that respect. However, when accelerating hard to join a motorway for example, you can tell it's a conventional automatic and it makes it much more refined in my opinion as you don't get that surge in revs

I turned that one off as well and its not turned back on - kept giving me messages to pay attention also when I was looking away. Only issue I seem to be having is that I cant get connected to the multimedia system - the car has been registered to the Lexus Link+ app and I can see journeys / location of the car, just the multimedia system doesnt seem to register so I can't setup my own profile. Not sure why this is

LBX Encrypted CANBUS
rayaans replied to UX250HTAK's topic in Lexus LBX Owners Club - The All-New Lexus LBX
It most likely is as all new Lexus models will be. Will have to wait until UK launch go confirm though -

Its not an issue on the new ones. They have encrypted canbus -
RX450H Sport Plus drive train function
rayaans replied to YvesD's topic in RX 300 / RX 350 / RX 400h / RX 200t / RX 450h Club
Sport mode will sharpen the throttle response and the steering wheel . Sport S+ if you have it will stiffen the suspension as well as the above. -
Service mileage discrepancy
rayaans replied to Colinb623's topic in Lexus IS 300h / IS 250 / IS 200t Club
Yep thats going to be a tough one to sort out because there's no way to prove either way. If you do more than 15K miles in a year it doesnt matter though because you'd need to service it before the date regardless. You could try fighting against Lexus UK and the dealership, alternatively present your car earlier for servicing / just take the risk for a few thousand km -
Service mileage discrepancy
rayaans replied to Colinb623's topic in Lexus IS 300h / IS 250 / IS 200t Club
All very odd and likely a typo on the service receipt. Bit difficult to get that disproved. Also probably doesnt matter much in the grand scheme of things although I would probably push it anyway and see what happens -

I think it'd help a lot more if it was clear what the discrepancy was. How many miles are on the vehicle right now? How many miles were on it when serviced? Do you feel the discrepancy is with the mileage at the service or the mileage at the hybrid healthcheck? -
Its not exactly "an issue" and is a well known thing. There are part shortages leading to the lack of supplying a second key (which I believe are now coming through). Additionally Lexus UK did not supply wheel locking bolts and have taken responsibility if any thefts occur. Again, customers have started getting the locking bolts through. Just email Lexus UK and they should be able to give you an answer or book you in for these items.

Would you be able to post a picture of the wheel In general any wheel provided it isnt very dangerously cracked or has chunks missing can be refurbed - it might not match the other wheels though and typically you can choose to get 2 done on one side, or all 4 refurbed depending on how particular you are

Potential LC500 Owner after a little advice
rayaans replied to Dingle Dell's topic in Lexus LC500 Coupe Club
Honestly speaking the updates were subtle. I doubt you'd really notice / care unless you were really looking for them.
