  1. If your only embedding/linking your review I'm pretty sure it is fine. Look forward to reading it :).
  2. On my car (Not a LS), I do it where the pollen/cabin filter is, and remove the bottom plastic and place it directly underneath it, it goes straight to the pollen filter and recirculates throughout the system.
  3. I don't sorry, but if you go on usually any website where you can purchase tyres, and you put in your reg it usually gives you your stock tyre size.
  4. https://tiresize.com/calculator/ http://www.autopartuk.com/tyre-calculator/ And this one will show what your real speed vs your speedo display. Hope it helps
  5. Oh, wait so the green board is broken? or the Black cover bits which go on top of the buttons which are on the board? (Sorry if you said it, I'm just tired and hungry so might of missed it!:P) You should be able to reprogram the key to your car (you can on the Toyotas of that age so guessing same as Lexus) and can you link me to the key fobs your looking at? Hopefully someone who might know will see this thread!
  6. Hey, So if only the key fob case has broken can you not just buy the outer cover and fit your chip/transponder in?
  7. Long as it is in good/working condition I would not have thought it would need to be replaced.
  8. Hey, Personally, I'd guess whatever the service schedule says do that, or you can get brake fluid testers, which as brake fluid is hygroscopic absorbs moisture, the tester measures the water content, and indicates weather you should change or or if its good to go I think bi-annual is a bit too much, unless maybe your going to the tracks heavily, but every few years is fine, but that's one man's view! From what I can remember, a brake servo is the vacuum part connected to the master cylinder and just helps with the operation of braking when you push on it to brake Hope it helps
  9. Can you buy CREE versions of them? They're usually alot brighter and the output is quite good
  10. See if the water still beads, if it doesn't bead/not as well, then just apply whatever you fancy! EDIT: Despite me saying that when I worked in a main dealer last year I used to apply wax to my car every 2 weeks :D It was free and it was good stuff! (And gave me something to do during my lunch break), I literally had people like delivery drivers from Eurocarpart or other branch staff asking who's car that was and that it was the cleanest thing they ever saw :D
  11. Depends on the frequency of the objects. Both car key and hotel check in card are radio waves and I reckon operate on similar frequency? Or could be other objects interfering too! Can't remember my physics lessons on this :p
  12. Have you tried with the vehicle's handbrake on? Alot of vehicles/entertainment system will only work with the handbrake on unless you bypass it.
  13. Ah ok hopefully it won't be a big problem but if it is an actuator they aren't to bad to change
  14. Sometimes it pays to double check the fuses, by physically taking it out, in the past I missed it the first time I checked. For the window can you hear the window motor running? And the door, do you mean its locked shut or or is it unlocked but jammed? I don't know about Toyota/Lexus but when I worked at a Hyundai dealership you could send a a force open command for all the locks to unlock using their diagnostic software.
  15. That should defo be covered by warranty for any car manufacturer, it's not a wear or tear item/
  16. I would say that's normal? Alot of cars I've seen are like that It isn't low enough that the thermostat is stuck open etc.
  17. Not sure about seats on your car, but alot of cars you can usually yank the bottom base of the seat off?
  18. I'll stick my head further down. I just had a quick look at dusk yesterday. Edit to add: Can anyone recommend an OBD reader? Herself wants to buy me a surprise for Christmas and needs help. :hohoho: Hey, I bought this one a few years ago, http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B006JJZVQE? psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00 although they've increased the price a tiny abit :p, use it with Torque Pro on Android, not sure about iphones, https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.prowl.torque&hl=en_GB you get a good range of live data you can choose from and it reads trouble codes etc, not vehicle specific; so don't think you can edit options in a vehicle or reset service intervals etc
  19. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201510147790011?onesearchad=used%2Cnearlynew%2Cnew&postcode=lu11tx&page=1&price-from=1500&model=is_200&radius=1501&sort=pricedesc&make=lexus&search-target=usedcars&price-to=2000&logcode=p
  20. On my old car I just chucked some of those silica gel pouches in you get from buying clothes/shoes in my headlight and it cleared it up :D. Although it didn't have that much moisture compared to yours
  21. Hey, Heres a link for a guide to changing the bulbs, http://my.is/forums/f221/how-change-your-main-gauge-cluster-ignition-ring-lights-leds-pics-359216/ Hope it helps :D
  22. Hey, So my car had green coolant in it when I bought it and now 2 years down the line, I've decided to change it from green to Toyota Red. So how would I go about flushing/completely removing the old green stuff? My local mechanic said that he'd drain it all, and then put a hose in to get the old stuff to flow out, and then just leave water in my cooling system, and that I should drive it for a few days till another flush before putting in red coolant? Would that be alright for the system? And one more thing, when googling stuff, I read that you should use distilled water with the antifreeze, but I don't seem to find any distilled water for sale? only de-ionised, or is tap water fine? I got filtered water at home if that makes a difference :>. So let me know what you guys think! :)
