i feel the power supply in the radio has blown and probably needs
a few capacitors replacing as they will of taken a surge when the
12v power was re applied to the car,
i had this with a philips streamium home audio system
plugged it in again and nothing i found 7 capacitors needed replacing
i had a set of CC's on my old IS300h i couldn't say how long they lasted as
i didnt wear them out i think i had 17000 miles on them and they still had loads
of life left in them
i had something similar the other week on the drivers door panel
everytime i closed the door i could feel the panel move slightly
i found the thread had stripped so i tapped it M6 and used a different
bolt instead.

on the IS300h use the key hole in the boot lid to get to the 12v battery & hook up
another battery to the car & get yourself into ready mode straight away then
go for a drive
if you look at the tyre labelling you can see which tyres have good ratings for
Mpg , Wet braking & Road noise
i normally look for tyres with at least a C for fuel , B for braking and 69Db or less for road noise
( A is best & F is the worst)
yes i know colin but Ian probably has the best knowledge on here regarding the F Sport dash
and how it works and wether it can actually be retro fitted to another model
ask Ianhu
his cluster didnt work properly on his F sport and he managed to get his cluster to work
properly on his car but it took him alot of time and effort
i would say he's best one to ask on here
i'll try and find a link for you
215/45/17 is the standard lexus Ct 17" tyre size so i wouldn't of thought they would put
any stress on the gearbox as long at the circumference of the tyre is the same you wont
have any speedo discrepancies either
what is the tyre size of your 15" wheels it can then be checked to see what tyre size you
can go to keeping the speedo reading correctly
heres an idea for you james a heated reversing camera.
the times i get to work and then cant see as the camera
has had moisture blown over the lens giving a distorted image
Vw hide their camera behind the Vw boot handle
this keeps the lens clear from frost and blown water
one thing that doesnt help your fuel economy
are hills and in Hampshire you seem to have your
far share of high points

i'm not saying they all have roads on them but it does give
a good indication of how the land sits
