Sorry mate to hear problems u had but did u try to get it cleaned as 9 out 10 it's blocked only cost 200ish Was it lexus main dealer or independent who replaced parts. When had is220d dpf was blocked cost me 500 including pick up drop off from Birmingham.

Wasn't good idea buying a car with lights on or u got it dirt cheap.

All cars with air condition have pollen filter

Changed my pollen filter after 7 months and was filthy as London air is not very clean, used to change pollen @ air filter in my is220d every 6 months and was filthy all time.

If it helps used wynes dpf cleaner which worked really well, cleared dpf in 20 mins, sold my is220d with 93k on clock.

My is220d dpf got blocked called car surgeon in Birmingham who came picked car up from London @ dropped off for £500. Also cleaned egr but when I purchased car cleaned egr myself, 2nd time got blocked used bottle of dpf cleaner and was ok after that. What are they charging u to clean dpf????? Glad sold it as wasn't doing many miles.egr got pins in it as long as they slide freely think should b ok. I didn't do it but to get best results was to leave soaked in paraffin overnight

On my is220d did enquire about full service from Halfords price difference was only £20 cheaper, those prices are using basic oil if u want good oil charge u extra. Lexus do essential services which are quite cheap compared to Halfords. essential service is exactly same as normal one.

As far I understand law was changed few yrs ago about servicing car with main dealers. Was changed to any vat registered garage as long as they use original parts so don't know why lexus want you to service at lexus only. Rebecca u could try click 4 warranty which is lot cheaper than lexus, when had my is220d took it out with click 4 warranty for about £250 for yr and covered everything that lexus cover plus had wear and tear as standard. Didnt ask for car to b checked and had good reviews. So can't see why they shouldn't accept Toyota service history. My lexus warranty expires next month won't pay lexus will probably go with click 4 warranty. My local lexus dealer in Woodford use same garage facilities as Toyota, parts also same building. Mine only got 45k so will get next service by Toyota.

I would agree with Rebecca u wasn't ripped off considering mileage and condition. Did u buy from lexus main dealer or independent dealer????!! If lexus dealer warranty is included in price of £800. when I bought mine was on for 11500 but managed to haggle from lexus Plymouth.dealers always add 1500-2000 extra as they know ppl haggle.

I paid 10500 for 2009 is250 se-i with 40k in February 2016 like u said only got 22k it's a brand new car plus it's 2010 plate and it's in pristine condition.

Rebecca you can check using lexus website just "Google lexus recall check" put reg no but won't tell u what recall is needed.

Got letter last July for air bag recall but nothing yet like u said end of yr look like a possibility.my car wasn't effected for fuel sensor gasket. only air bag

I have to agree with sharpor dpf,egr problem arise due to local mileage which happens to all diesels but is220d is only car with 5th injector problem, gasket, gearbox is hopeless as mine went soon pick car up lucky had warranty.dmf was noisy but been lucky sold it before head gasket or 5th injector problems.overall wasn't bad to drive I test drove mine too but how long u drive it for 10 mins can't really tell by test by 10 mins, need at least 24hrs then u can tell how well car is. Is220d was a experimental project which went wrong that stuck to petrol or hybrid Had mercs, ford's never had gasket go on car. My sister bought bmw120d on 2011 with 87k auto which is soooo noisy but did warn as no good for school runs due to dpf,egr getting blocked but let them find out for themselves.

I was in London working as I'm a black taxi driver in city they was is220d 57 plate in front of me and it was smoking like a chimney and could smell oil burning. Funny thing is that it's mot expired in October only had 71k.how could you not know that your Mot has expired

Once in a while add wynes dpf cleaner in tank with half tank of fuel which is quiet good @ take on motorway in 4th gear for 20-30 mins Cleaning egr I used carb cleaner it's work ok. Also could use paraffin to clean it best let it soak overnight Hope it's sorted now as this could be problem due to egr blocked heavily with carbon

Symptoms are pointing to dpf blocked.when had is220d same symptoms you get warranty.what mileage???? I also agree take it back get is250 won't be disappointed

I just went on compare market.com got cheapest price of 540 from 1st central on wife name with 10 yrs ncd. Admiral my current insurer who quote me 841 also got meerkat 2 for 1 cinema tickets for whole yr looool only took 10 mins, no point using fake details won't get right quote

My taxi driver side window used to get stuck and was very slow sometimes got silicone spray from screwfix spray on rubber and runners it worked fine window doesn't stick goes up down lot faster now

In London even Tom Tom goes mad due too many high buildings. get loads of ppl getting lost using Google maps too that is where my sat Nav kicks in as a taxi driver and takes them right place looool

First time since I used my updated sat Nav from Oxford to dewsbury it's worked a treat I had no problems even showed motorway junctions, service stations and which lane to be in on motorway exit and used again dewsbury to Essex no problems with it. I'm not sure why negative views with lexus sat Nav. thumbs up from me

inside car mirror goes black but no sensor also side mirrors go black too just came from a 500 miles trip
