ISF battery.... Totally flat 😞
Mark6pot replied to NothernDan's topic in Lexus F Club - Lexus IS-F / GS-F / RC-F Club
Windows will reset after a couple of uses, keep hold of switch all way down and up on all windows. You will have to set your seat, steering and mirror preference memory also, after getting them into position use the save setting buttons on drivers door. -
That's the calipers and wheels back on after doing calipers orange and wheels gloss black. Also painted bottom section of rear bumper black. Just have to drop the height about an inch.

VHT real orange, drying on the line, then 1 hour in oven at 93c. 2 days to strip all original black powder coat and a thin coat of red I put on 2 years ago.

UK made ISF Headers
Mark6pot replied to Twellsie's topic in Lexus F Club - Lexus IS-F / GS-F / RC-F Club
Yesss, gains would be as good as Sikky headers if they are long equal lengths and do away with primary cats. I believe there is one isf out there with secondary cats still in place with Sikky headers, headers were ceramic coated plus wrapped to increase exhaust gas heat so the secondary cats would heat up enough to do the emissions reduction task on there own. Top 3 things about your ISF
Mark6pot replied to sebblz's topic in Lexus F Club - Lexus IS-F / GS-F / RC-F Club
1. Reliable V8 performance. 2. Looks and Sound. 3. Practical enough for daily use. -
Had my 2008 isf for 3 and a half years, do all my own work to it, roll it up car ramps every couple of months to clean underneath and only rust I've come across is surface rust to the fuel tank strap, rear subframe just to the edges, diff casing, bolt heads, some small steel brackets for wiring hiding under bumpers. There is no rust anywhere on the body, floor or arches. Now at 127600 miles.

2008 car with 126200 miles. Owner since August 2016. No faults or failures. Just usual tyres, brakes, oils, filters, plugs. I will say it has all original bushes and it feels as though they could soon be for a replacement.

Great choice of car and colour. Well done.

I stalked for a year until I got a isf back in August 2016, for past 2 years I've been stalking again watching some of you jump from the isf to a rcf or gsf. My favourite stalking is the isf mods, as my isf is a keeper for life it's nice to see other owners enjoying there isf. I've not done any mods to mine yet that are worth talking about, but soon it will be paid for and I'll legally own it outright, I wasn't going to mention it until I started the work next spring but my isf will be a full on "CCSR ISF" copy once it's done. Pic of a real CCSR -

This is one from Lexus Edinburgh am I correct, went down for a drive one night about a week ago and seen it parked up at the back. Walked round it salivating, mint condition.

Wasn't brave enough to do enough sanding, but until I get the paint depth measured there will be no more lol
-
Done some wet sanding to some fine scratches, filled in some stone chips with lacquer then sand flat, wet sanding with 2500 grit paper to do the job. Not bad looking for a 10 year old car and 115670 miles.

Sun was out in Scotland today, well for last 2 weeks it's been sunny, think Scotland must have slid down the side of the earth closer to Spain lol So washed the beast this morning, this is a washed pic. All day today I'm going to wet sand and polish it and post pics tonight as the sun goes down, hope I can cut and buff the paint back up yikes.

V8 Hunt - One USB ISF
Mark6pot replied to wantaisf's topic in Lexus F Club - Lexus IS-F / GS-F / RC-F Club
The isf is not slow in sport manual mode, locked in a gear anything above 3000 rpm and it will jump forward with a lot of torque when stamping on the throttle. -

Dodge Nitro 2.8td 6 speed box, rear wheel drive with old school four wheel drive that if used the surface must be gravel, grass, mud, snow as it locks up the rear axle to front diff. It's a lot of motor for reasonable money. Used for camping with the family and the dogs, through the winter months to keep the isf of the salted roads, also when it's raining and I've just washed the Lexus, also does the tip runs, my sister and Brother inlaw are going to The Isle of Mull in it in June with there dog for 2 weeks, as they dont have enough room in there Rc300h lol -
Possibly Returning To The Fold...
Mark6pot replied to GibletPH's topic in Lexus F Club - Lexus IS-F / GS-F / RC-F Club
Over the years of owning a isf you can gradually up the power of them, eventually a Supercharger fitted giving you 640bhp and still have reliability. I would like to know how fast a CCSR isf racing car could be with a RRRacing Supercharger kit. Can you imagine doing the grocery run in that lol -
Possibly Returning To The Fold...
Mark6pot replied to GibletPH's topic in Lexus F Club - Lexus IS-F / GS-F / RC-F Club
Remember the isf can be made lighter with different front seats and that alone brings the weight down to almost 1700 to 1750 kg. For the size of engine and drive line it's not really a over weight car to start with. -
Would you buy an X press F car?
Mark6pot replied to Flytvr's topic in Lexus F Club - Lexus IS-F / GS-F / RC-F Club
I've got one of them, 2008 isf with 114850 miles on It. I looked into the history of the car and could not find any proof of track use in the first year of it's life when it was owned by the car magazine company. There review focused more on family use, day to day stuff versus there own Ford focus lol It's had 6 owners since then and that was more worrying for me, but the car had never missed a service, mot history doesn't show any abuse. I will have owned it for 2 years come August, never had a issue apart from replacing brakes, battery, oil, coolant all by myself as this car will be a keeper. Paul "Big Rat" you have my permission to share openly on this forum any info or videos of my car you have, you probably know more than myself. It has had various registered number plates to it also over its life.
