  1. Spotted on AT http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201604072741772 RX400H, 2016 reg with 82K on the clock. I reckon that's something in the order of 650 miles a day!
  2. Like the picture, photoshop? Have you got the Mark Levinson Audio or the standard system? How do you think it sounds?
  3. I'm not only jealous of the car - I'm jealous of the garage as well! lol
  4. Having recently acquired a 2007 IS-250 SE-L with ML audio and having a owned what might be termed a 'decent' home hifi system for many years, I would offer the following critique I was originally quite underwhelmed by the ML audio system as fitted. This was possibly due to heightened expectations on my part - I had certainly made ML-Audio a must-have feature during my search. However, I am now becoming impressed by how the ML audio deals what audiophiles refer to as 'detail' - the ability to resolve not only sound of an instrument, but the timbre as well, the attack and decay of struck notes, vocal inflections and so on. It's also apparent that the system can produce a pretty good amount of bass but only if the volume is turned up pretty loud and the source material contains it. I don't play a lot of bass-heavy tunes so it took me a while to appreciate this. I'm less impressed by the 'spacial' presentation - personally I find the soundstage to quite focused but very narrow.
  5. Beautiful car, looks to be in excellent condition - enjoy!
  6. I agree, that sounds really scary and I'm also surprised that Lexus haven't taken it more seriously. Granted it's over 10 years old and no manufacturer will unconditionally warrant any part of the car for that long but I might have expected some kind of acknowledgment of the potential seriousness of the issue
  7. Interesting, I will have to keep an eye out for it at the weekend.
  8. These are the original OEM ones http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-Lexus-4x-Luxury-Black-Carpet-Floor-Mats-RX-02-03-08-04-PZ49CK0352AG-/252013429701?fits=Model%3ARX&hash=item3aad2bc3c5
  9. Are you sure it was the same seller? I do want to state that I have no connection with them other than as a buyer. I've only had mine a little over a week and I haven't got them messy yet so I can only comment on my 1st impressions which, I have to say, were positive. Hence the recommendation. Only time will tell I suppose.
  10. Hi Andy Yes the mats fit perfectly and the clips locate the mat firmly (only for the driver on the IS) They appear to be well made and look as if they will be hard wearing... time will tell though, I've only had them a week! They've got a rough surface to the backing which I suppose is anti-slip and the carpet is short pile so should be easy to vacuum and keep clean.
  11. I bought some floor mats for my IS from this ebay seller and I was quite pleased with the quality. Fit perfectly as well. This is their listing for RX300 mats. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LEXUS-RX300-03-09-FULLY-TAILORED-QUALITY-CAR-FLOOR-MATS-IN-BLACK-CLIPS-/381572906352?fits=Model%3ARX&hash=item58d7847d70:m:m1FvobLJs3bo3JvNkuDyLmw
  12. Two things worth trying then 1. Try playing a DVD, hopefully that will reset the digital signal processing. Then switch back to an audio CD and keep fingers crossed. 2. Try disconnecting the car battery, leave disconnected for about 10 to 20 mins. Then reconnect. Note that this will mean you need to reset the electric windows (do a search on the forum for the procedure). best of luck
  13. Finally got some time to tackle this, eventually got everything apart as per Noobie excellent guide. However, my gears and cogs are in perfect condition and are pretty clean too! In my case it appears to be a defective motor, I've swapped them around (as they are not hard wired it's easy to do) and I now have up/down motion but no left/right. Anyone know where I might get a suitable motor from?
  14. So does the solution/fix described in the youtube comments section not work for you?
  15. very tidy motor :) Shame about the spare key, expensive from Lexus and I don't think there are any 3rd party sources :(
  16. If you check the rear bumper you should be able to see the sensors (small discs) if they are fitted. If fitted they can be switched on/off by the 'satellite switch' on the dashboard When on, you should see the indicator light to the lower right of the rev counter Online version of the owners manuals here https://secure.drivers.lexus.com/lexusdrivers/info/my-lexus/resources/submit-owners-manual-search?section=om&keywords=parking&searchType=&model=IS250&year=2006&x=0&y=0#
  17. That looks like a super example of an IS200, if it's been cheaper than a set of tyres then it looks like you've bagged a bargain. Enjoy!
  18. First of all, thanks for taking the time to make the guide originally. I'm sure many have found it extremely useful I had found the worm-gear dimensions that you helpfully posted earlier :) the ebay ones seem a close match. They are described as being 6mm diameter by 10mm long which is very close to your measured dimensions. The bore is listed as 1.9mm for a 2mm shaft which seems to be a standard dimension for these things so hopefully Lexus/Toyota used generic parts and these will fit. I've also found them here www.rapidonline.com, order code 37-035 @ £1.32 for a pack of 50! (plus £3.60 delivery) I'll let you know how I get on...
  19. These look like they might be suitable ebay item 221784846313 Would you use silicon spray or grease as lubricant for this?
  20. My bad, I should have checked 1st... Good piece of work this, looks as even I should be able to follow it. Just have to find the worm gears now
  21. It's a 2007 IS250 SE-L with the reverse camera. The driver mirror is fully adjustable and it does tilt down when reverse is selected. When the passenger mirror is selected by the controls and the up/down buttons are pressed, there is a faint 'click' but no whirr and no movement. thanks for all the replies
  22. I think both mirrors are supposed to move up/down. If so, we've both got faulty mirrors
  23. On my recently acquired IS250 SE-L I've noticed that the passenger wing mirror does not move up/down when reversing or when adjusted by the control buttons. It does move left/right but not up/down. Is it possible to repair? or will I need to find a replacement?
  24. Got mine today, just got home after nearly 300 miles, but it was a pleasant trip
