  1. My free plastic Foxtrot Alpha tasted like... Foxtrot Alpha ;-)
  2. Well... she made it. Nothing untoward to report apart from my request for an RCF turned into an IS300h. They even had an LC500 demo there :-( The health check did reveal my rear tyres are on the legal limit though so a pair of brand new 275/30/19 Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres are being popped on Lichelle on Monday. So much for free recall... It's cost me £400 ;-)
  3. Mine goes into Lexus Poole tomorrow morning... See you on the other side ;-)
  4. Wheels are on back to front. Happened to me once. As soon as someone pointed it out... OCD kicked in. See if you can knock a few quid off because of it ;-) Looks lovely though. I wanted a white one :-(
  5. I thought the roof disappeared rather than sat on the top as it's flat. Best go and look now :-(
  6. Never noticed it before on an RCF but the Sunroof (Or Moon Roof as Lichelle reminds me when it's open and I open the door)... WTF? Talk about ruining the lines of the body. Tell me that's some aftermarket wing he has put on to impress the VW Scene Boyz ;-)
  7. That Tesla sounded Epic... Said no one... ever ;-) I was having a chat to my next door neighbour who is buying a Model S (He had a Prius) and I mentioned the noise to him. I likened it to comparing ACDC with those pipes you hang in the garden that make an odd noise when the wind blows (ISF being ACDC in case you were wondering) I then noticed he had a hearing aid. Which explains why I always hear his wife shouting at him. Mind you... I don't have a hearing aid and my wife shouts at me so not sure I have any logic to go on here.
  8. Yes. As other people have said. It needs to pass an inspection (in my case it had was in for a major service) which meant car was eligible for Lexus extended warranty. Mine did have a full Lexus Service History + a stamp from a friends garage who does my oil changes every 5k between services and they were happy with that. My 2008 ISF is now under warranty until April 2019 :-)
  9. Like that. Something I would consider in the future as exhaust is next on list. Quick? May just be angle of camera but is the unit offset to the left? Doesn't look quite flush with the dash.
  10. Yep. Certainly when really pushing on... This only occurs on closed circuits, autobahns and delimited toll roads of course ;-)
  11. Mine does it all the time when pushing on and in manual mode. If you watch a few youtube vids of ISF's being launched in manual then you usually hear it on them as well. I think it sounds quite cool. A buddy of mine thought it was turbocharged as he thought it sounded like a dump valve when changing up.
  12. Thanks. I have the drilled Brembo discs on order again from ECP. Not got a Ring trip planned next year due to wife being pregnant with a second Fun Sponge so less of an issue with cracking (I hope). For 2019 trip I will probably go dimpled & grooved from MTEC. I ran these on my old 350z and 335i and they held up pretty well so will try them on the ISF.
  13. This will explain the braking not feeling as on point as last year's trip. Spider cracks and holes full of dust. Rears are fine. Good job new discs are inbound :-)
  14. I am running them at 44psi hot pressure as a lot of the time I have had 3 passengers in the car. Was getting too much sidewall flex with 4 people onboard at 36psi Also runs well on 3 wheels ;-)
  15. Lap 9 of weekend. 8:31 Bridge to Gantry. Pleased as punch.
  16. A couple of dry laps on a very challenging weekend (so far) at the Nurburgring in case anyone is interested. 1st proper run out of the Brembo pads rather than yellow stuff pads and can safely say I will be putting the yellow stuff ones back on for future trips. They aren't as capable in coping with hot/cold temp transition as well as the yellowstuffs. The Conti Sport 6's did very well yet again. I increased the tyre pressures this year compared to last year and they didn't appear to overheat as much. I will post the wet lap later. Safe to say it's the 1st and last wet lap I will do on the Ring as I just wanted to say I did it. Wasn't fun. Needless to say Normal mode and all the safety gear stayed on for that one... :-)
  17. I have been running the wider size tyres for a year now (now on second set). My friend works for kwikfit and gets them for me at trade price and fits them for free :-) He has no concerns over them no fitting. It would be a different matter if I wanted to run stretched tyres like the VW boys love to do :-( And no issues with insurance either. As long as tyres match or exceed load and speed rating of original tyre spec then it was ok with them.
  18. From my understanding, Pagid make the Brakes for AMG Mercs, RS Audi's and M3's so you can't go wrong with them (Or Brembo of course) :-)
  19. My new Brembo pads from ECP are silent (so far) whereas the yellowstuff pads they replaced could be a tad loud.
  20. You add 2 to basket as sold individually. Then apply code and pay for 1. I can see front and rears for both Brembo and Pagid for my 2008 ISF
  21. Using code Holiday50 Approx. £120 per pair of Brembo discs and approx. £35 per pair of Brembo pads. Bargain time. I bought mine last month with 'only' a 37% discount :-(
