  1. Coupe has much longer doors than the ISF so you should be fine bud.
  2. I see your 29.6 and lower you... 14..5 over 170 miles exactly. Literally been 170 miles of town driving. Took this just before restarting after filling up. Was showing a 9 mile dte
  3. I have provided a few responses. It's good to keep it alive and keep winding them up :-)
  4. I know. I didn't want to feed the troll too much by explaining that ;-)
  5. Had to share this blokes response to a pic I posted on the thread... Boot hinges.... Really....
  6. Is that what they use? I always thought they used Castrol Edge but I may have been thinking that from my BMW days. I have not run her on a track with the oil provided by Lexus but looking at US forums apparently it's common for the oil temps to climb to top of chart on track days so I may stick with what I know and put Motul back in this month before Lexus do what they need to do in Jan when she is due her next service.
  7. As per title really.... I am about to complete the annual pilgrimage to Germany next month and always get my oil changed before doing so (I always change oil at 50% stage between service schedules and seems to tie in nicely before Germany) by my friends garage (My 10k services are done by Lexus for the warranty). Last year I ran Motul oil in the ISF but found the oil temps were sky high after a few decent runs around the Ring. They soon dropped after a cool down session but wanted to try a different oil this year to see if it made a difference. So... Assuming Lexus use Castrol Edge (which I can't seem to find anymore in 5w 30) has anyone else got any experience in using other oils (preferably with a bit of track time included). At moment I am swaying towards Mobil 1 but my experience of running that in my old Type R's (notorious for oil burning) was that it burnt off a lot quicker than other oils I used. I need 9.3L of the finest 5W 30 to keep Lichelle happy :-) Any thoughts/opinions appreciated. Cheers. Lee
  8. I didn't think you could set Cruise Control below 30mph (29mph as mentioned) regardless of gradient. Gonna have to go and try it now. I can confirm you can set it at 160 on an autobahn :-)
  9. Balls. I knew I should have spent £900 on an exhaust instead :-(
  10. I know.... Thinnest of thin ice. My work mate has one in Saxo VTR blue with the spunk stain hiding white seats as seen here parked near me at work ;-) He lurks on this forum without joining so I am effectively calling him out to tell me his is newer and has a proper diff (albeit with Ripspeed wheels) ;-)
  11. Who said black was boring? I can confirm I wasn't bored at the time of this photo getting taken ;-) You are limited to... ;-) Citroen Saxo Blue Vauxhall Vectra Maroon Stone Chip Collector Black (Mine) Audi TT Silver Not quite Grey & Not quite Black Slate Grey And my personal favourite - White. I wish I had a white one :-(
  12. Love that... Do all the prep, change the pads, discs, tyres, laptop settings and such like.... Driver gets in.... T Shirt, jeans, helmet and gloves :-) Can just imagine Valentino Rossi going out and testing his Yamaha M1 in shorts, t-shirt and trainers ;-)
  13. Also need to add that 1 lap (in an ISF anyhow) uses 1/4 of a tank of fuel. So factor in a tank per 4 laps plus the cost of 4 laps being in excess of 100 Euros.... All adds up.... but I still go every year as it's an amazing place. Even if you didn't drive around and purely went for beer, banter and watch other cars. There are worse ways to spend a weekend.
  14. Ah the old Honda Type R forum... I miss those days (I had 2 x DC2, 1 x DC5 Integra Type R's and an S2000). To be fair, that forum would stick it's nose up at people if they did so much as change tyres to anything other than what was on the car when it rolled out of the factory ;-) I won't be putting the ISF for sale on here then.... as my profile pic is a bit of a giveaway. Mind you... I am never selling her :-) Nurburgring again in September this year.... Best get my Euro's in order....
  15. Surely it depends on what car you are buying? If someone was buying a 750i and it was tracked then surely this would apply. If you are buying something that is meant to be pushed a little bit more than the M27 on a Sunday evening then you would be a little less bothered.
  16. Too many.... NSX is right up there but.... E46 M3 CSL when they weren't 50k upwards. I was going to buy an E46 M3 CS before I bought the ISF but the wife veto'd it due to only having 2 doors and our second car was a Mini Cooper S so needed a baby friendly vehicle. Decent E46 M3 still on bucket list now but the standard ones are creeping up as well :-(
  17. I met him at the Nurburgring in Sept last year. Pleasant chap. Pretty handy around there as well. Pretty sure he was running R888's front and rear and told me that he runs the rear tyre size at front as well. His Mrs always looked like she was none too impressed.
  18. 155k miles and still going strong (1st video). Happy Days :-)
  19. 1 injector went and they did all 6 under a recall. Everything was under warranty apart from fuel pump. It was more the inconvenience that the car was at BMW for 11 weeks in 1 single year rather than cost :-(
  20. Got a reminder on Facebook today that I picked my ISF up a year ago today. She replaced an E90 335i which I also had for a year. Summary of ownership below... BMW 335i M Sport - MY2007 - 40k miles Failures... 2 x turbos 2 x turbo actuators 1 x Lambda sensor 1 x High Pressure Fuel Pump 6 x Injectors 1 x major oil leak Then on to Lexus ISF - MY2008 - 50k miles Failures... Zero In case of tempting fate I have just renewed my Lexus warranty for 2 years. Money well spent? ;-)
  21. Alfa Quattrofellatio or whatever it's called just as it dips under 50k ;-)
  22. Used them on my 335i and my old Nissan 350Z. Not got a bad word to say about them. Didn't realise they did them for the ISF :-)
