  1. Definitely be patient. F cars are incredibly difficult to sell.
  2. There's one on Autotrader. Priced high at £30k. Probably more realistically worth £25k best.
  3. Looks good. I honestly don't think you can avoid drone on an F car
  4. Really surprised under track conditions the GSF wouldn’t cook the brakes. I’ve seen a GSF with smoking brakes on a fast road trip. They are quite portly cars
  5. Well written, honest review. The 5.0 V8 (in the the IS-F, RC-F & GS-F), it seems very difficult - if not impossible to get a good exhaust note without compromise. I agree, you have to spank an F car to get enjoyment out of it. One of the reasons I left the fold. As for twisties.......never had any complaints.
  6. The IS-F does have a firm ride - they all do irrespective of it being a later model. Having said that, unless you really struggle with the likes of a bad back, I’d say the IS-F ride is acceptable. As for the Abarth..... 🙈 What a crock of ****. Harsh ride, torque steer and fidgety. Great induction noise however.
  7. IS-F is a great car. I remember discussing the long term outlook of the IS-F with six other owners. This was.... four years ago I guess. The conclusion I came to was that sooner or later the ultra reliable car will start to have failing components. Inevitable. Unlike Audi / BMW / Mercedes, there’s simply not the wealth of after market replacement parts. This will make the ISF more expensive to fix. Try costing a new steering rack (common failure) or a radiator and you’ll be looking at big bucks. I think with recent reported issues, I’d go for a younger RC-F.
  8. F cars are difficult to shift. Either you take the hit and trade it in or just be patient as there never seems to be an abundance of buyers. The other issue is that many people these days want PCP. Good luck 👍
  9. Yes; baby 4.0 twin turbo. I miss Lexus build quality. The Merc’s is OK, but Lexus build quality is utterly brilliant. But on the whole, I like the fact that the 63 provides entertainment at low speeds, whereas I found I had to spank an F car to get enjoyment.
  10. I’ve owned an IS-F (and RCF). They are muted. You can stick an aftermarket exhaust on them, but I disliked the associated drone. A C63 of that era wins hands down noise wise. The best part of the Lexus sound track is the induction noise - but you have to be gunning it to make the most of it. Outside of the noise, the ISF wins on every count in my opinion. I’m not biased by the way, I drive a 63 (w205) God luck!
  11. Hard to get past that colour. I know that's subjective. I don't think it's as pretty as the coupe.
  12. Can definitely be done. Best part would be that you wouldn't be dicking with your own stock exhaust.
  13. Actually @Drssg , John's got a good idea there. I've got a stock RC-F exhaust sat in my garage. Could make a nice project!
  14. Ha! My limited time driving with you, I'm not sure I entirely agree! 😁 Anyway, when you buying an AM V12 V?
  15. No - I didn't know. Will look now....... WOW! Is that your's?
  16. Amazing to think that you’ll soon be able to get an RC-F for under £20k. Big Bang for buck 👍
