    Whatever you do, don't actually kick the sensor (as suggested in that list), just kick quickly in and out under the bumper. Do the other methods of opening the tailgate work?

    I thought run-flats weren't repairable, full stop? Tyre shops can't determine if the carcass has been damaged due to excess speed or mileage whilst deflated.

    What I find curious about this is the position of the car. It's not parked but seems to have been in the process of coming/going? Also people have obviously tried to extinguish the fire, spent extinguishers standing around the vehicle. Plus just how long did it take for the fire brigade to arrive? Timings from the video and the FB report suggests approx 1hr?

    Yes, Lexus are strictly 'by the book'! As the wheels you like are so new it may be that there are no independent sources, yet. I was fortunate in that the wheels I liked were available on another RC model and so my dealer suggested they could take a VIN from that model to order the additional set. I decided to stay with the originals in the end. Wheels are very expensive!

    When ordering my first RC I asked if it were possible to change the wheels for a type offered on a 'lower' spec model. I was told, no. Lexus do not give free selection and the only options are those Lexus offer in the brochure. It was suggested I take the original wheels as included and purchase a set of the ones I preferred (Lexus very happy to sell extra!) and then sell on those I didn't like. Might be an option for you? As for getting to see the wheels you want, you may have to accept you will need to travel. Perhaps your dealer could enquire if there is a car somewhere closer for you?

    Had the protection plates fitted, no problems. The dealership was most accommodating. Lexus are listening and have reacted to the evolving situation.

    Not sure why, or how, the horn should go off if the battery is flat? Personally I would leave the CTEK attached permanently that's what it's designed for. See if the battery recovers after being on charge for 24hrs, otherwise a new battery and leave the CTEK doing it's job until you want to drive the car.

    A gap in service history is in itself not an issue, Relax warranty will be in force after the dealer services the car but any issues found in that service will not be covered, they need to be corrected before Relax kicks in for the next 12 months. Of course the car must be under 10yrs old and less than 100k miles to qualify

    Greyed out option tends to suggest a failed module. You need to get the codes read.

    New models are now using UWB and motion sensitive fobs (not 100% on the latter) Manufacturers are always playing catch-up as thieves crack the latest security features. I remember thieves using half a tennis ball over the car door lock, a sharp thump and the lock popped open! How about adopting thumb print locks? Or face recognition, voice activation ....

    Must admit to thinking rolling key codes have been in use for remote locking/unlocking for many, many years now.

    But the OP managed to get into the car, surely not possible if the 12v is flat?

    Exactly, as a letter from Lexus CS, posted in another thread stated. Lexus are going in production date order. Hounding one's dealer isn't likely to achieve much, the dealers can't get the keys except through Lexus..

    I believe it must, otherwise the access systems and computers wouldn't work. If it must be charged or the OP wouldn't be able to get into the car?
