  1. Maybe try This site for help? It explains how some people got off speeding fines... :)
  2. A quarter of? I thought you meant something else for a minute there Claire!! :D Especially given all this talk of being spaced out!!!!
  3. Millers oil is pretty good.. I use it on the strength that so many people have told me about how good it is! Its resonably cheap too. http://www.millersoils.co.uk/ marcus - if you are passing maidstone, 4U2FIT sell it fairly cheaply.
  4. If you need a trailer to put a car on, they are pretty cheap to hire, we hired one to take the missus car on when the transmission siezed (it was a Vitara, so it wouldn't tow!!!) p.s. hope you get it sorted fairly painlessly Chris
  5. I'm up for it too.... just look at my lovely banner! :P
  6. Interestingly... You'll get more mpg with the car in (a high) gear going down hill with no throttle than coasting... I never realised this before but a number of people have mentioned this to me recently.
  7. Shame... I would love it if it was a ringer and the chap got his wrists slapped, even if its only for getting his mate to bid stuff up for him!!! B)
  8. My brother-in-law used to have a Astra (nice little motor as it happens), then he got a high-flying sales job and the obligatory brand new 318 with 17"s and clear indicators every two years... what happened? he started driving like a C**T!! I never get in the car with him now! :megaangry: And what is it with some Beemer drivers thinking they are far superior to other beemer drivers just cos their 316 has clear indicators or a silly m-sport spoiler? As far as I'm concerned they can go and annoy each other til they get a promotion and leather steering wheel!!! :P
  9. It does look a lot darker to me mate... :( I've learnt my lesson about small body repairs now - if there is any damage at all to the paint work or it needs painting, take it to a body shop.. SMART type repairs only seem to be satisfactory when they push out little dents that haven't damaged the paint. Best of luck getting it sorted mate :)
  10. I think the first one is awesome! I'd have that in my car!! :P
  11. mine are 225 - 40 - 18 mate... As for tyre price I always go to www.mytyres.net as they seem to be the cheapest around.. (generally about £100 a piece tho) and I'm using the same locking nuts as the 17"s (dunno if they are right, but they seem to work! )
  12. any idea of approximate cost guys? (while we're on the subject?) its not hundreds i take it if they need to adjust stuff....
  13. Thanks Colin.. I'll get it checked anyway I think. Theres a place posted in Gold recently that I might have a word with. :)
  14. A lot faster if you have a supercharger!!!!
  15. I haven't actually Colin... Do you think this will help?? anyone know anywhere that will do a proper 4 wheel alignment check in the Essex region?? Any help, as always, much appriciated!!! :)
  16. Wow! where do we get these from? I fancy spamming non LOC Lexus owners!! :D
  17. hahaha ****el ****el w-a-n-k-e-l love the language filter!
  18. I think... strictly speaking its the "Swept Volume" rather than the the actual internal size of the cylinder bores... At least thats what my old man used to say (he was an engineer and worked on ****el engine design of all things!) this page explains it briefly... http://www.cs.cf.ac.uk/Dave/3DVG/node31.html
  19. You mean these ones: I love the way they look on my car, but :tsktsk: me! they make the car tramline like a pig!! At one point I almost considered going back to the 17"s, but that would be silly now wouldn't it? :D
  20. Cheers RYX :) I had a feeling those 7500k ones were a bit blue, but I can't seem to find any 4-5000K 9006's on eBay... I'll see if Zee gets back to me about the group buy and if he can supply me with any X-whites at the GB price, otherwise I'll get those PIAA ones from speeding.co.uk, problem is they are £90 a pair!!! Almost worth saving up for HIDs to be honest... but I'm a little bit worried about their legality!
  21. Hey Everyone, Just a bit of advice really, What do you think are the closest "normal" bulbs to a HID type bulb? HIDs are just a bit too expensive and I'm worried about not having washers and auto-levelling for the MOT, so what bulbs are the best substitute? I know Zee did a group buy on X-Whites recently, but I missed out on it are these really the best? if so, what make are they so i can buy some? Anyone know what are these PIAA ones are like? any advice at all would be great!!! :D
  22. Yeah it is an Aristo.. but these shots are from the latest build of GT4 and its looking absolutely yummy I think you'll agree! :) As for prolouge.. its good (but very small), although I still haven't made my mind up about the new view (the one thats further out, when the track moves but not the car )
  23. You might have to sign up to the site to view.. but the link to the pics is: http://www.computerandvideogames.com/news/...y.php?id=106482 :)
