Throttle on my IS is constantly getting jammed............. between my foot and the floor Had throttle jam on my last Avensis, dodgy throttle cable.............. well scary experience though and that was on a quiet road........... wouldn't like it to happen in built up area

I know............ like I said I must be mad........... she was afraid to drive the banged up Avensis........... doesn't look pretty but mechanically its sound.......... YOU try convincing a woman that having no grille, two damaged (but working) headlamps, no front fogs and a bumper thats popped either side at thw wings in no way affects the handling / operation of her car and see how you get on :P I now have the Ibiza as its a loaner I'm insured in but she isn't so needs must, roll on Friday when she gets her Avensis and I gets me LEX back :)

"you never miss the water til the well runs dry" My wife has had my IS for the last four weeks or so cos she had a little "fender bender" in her own car (I know I'm mental but such are the joys of wedlock) and in this time I've been driving her "front modified" 2004 1.6 Avensis.......... not a bad car I might add, certainly comfortable, bit sluggish (big shell for a 1.6 to lug around) but having finally sorted the insurance and left her car in for repair I am now driving........... a 1.4 2001 Seat Ibiza I started out being angry having to drive it............. now its gotten to the stage that its so bad I actually find it funny like when you are trying to pull off from the lights and it hops outta 1st gear ..... or when you enter a bend at 15mph and it feels like your world is coming to an end ...... or if you try to stop quickly and get the impression you'd be better off opening the door and putting your foot to the ground ....... it just makes me realise how much I take my IS (and all the good things that it does so effortlessly, quietly, seamlessly and without fuss) for granted :D

Hope that house is on an acre at least............. you're gonna need the car parking space with offers like that :D :D

I prefer the look of your current car to be honest Sean........ is the extra power that much of an issue for you? Also Yellow is gonna be a ******* magnet for the law............ you won't be incognito in that bus......... just a thought

Pulled up outside home the other night, noticed my left dip wasnt working, assumed bulb was gone (wouldn't be surprised as one of my other Blue visions has given up the ghost recently)............ left lights on and as I opened bonnet it started working again Its happened a couple of times since, I start up, right lights up and left doesnt, get out, give the headlamp a rap of my knuckle, hey presto............ Anyone had wiring probs or is it just dirsty / loose cionnection or something silly like that?

Gentlemen your help please....... In the last couple of weeks my car has started to make strange gurgling noises when idling, seems particularly prevalent just after starting up It sounds for all the world like the noise you get from one of those bottled water coolers when you take a glass full and the air bubbles up through th water if you know what I'm talking about? (either that or my car has serious indigestion ) All temp guages etc are normal and no other symptoms are showing, just wondering if anyone else has had similar noises? Want to put mind at rest
