  1. The fact you mentioned you hardly drive your car since covid, I'm going to take a wild stab at the problem, and point you to the auxiliary battery in the boot. There's a good chance the battery is on it's way out. All sorts of error messages pop up when the battery starts to fail.
  2. Strange coincidence, I noticed my rear window had developed a load of condensation built up. So only a couple of days ago I setup one of my dehumidifiers and let that run for a few hours on the back seat. Took out a reasonable amount of water. I put this down to not using the car much and probably when I washed it a week or so ago. Will be interesting to see if you find anything where you actually have a leak...
  3. How does the is300h compare with the gs300h just out of interest. Is it like the difference between the ct200h and is300h? My wife has the ct200h and the difference between the two is very noticeable...
  4. A bit disappointed seeing the suspension tops rusted, the aluminium will always go a bit powdery.. I use ACF50 on bits like that. Protects and makes it look like new. It would seem the car has been sitting around a fair bit with only 14k in 3 years. Where did the previous owner live? Near the coast... Sent from my G8142 using Tapatalk
  5. Try adjusting your seat height, you may be at a level where you are being dazzled by other cars. If your seat is in the low position, try it a bit higher... May help... Sent from my G8142 using Tapatalk
  6. I fitted led bulbs to my wife's ct200h as the halogens were terrible. Cost about 30 quid on Amazon. Light's are much better now plus passed it's mot without any problems. As long as the beam pattern is retained and the headlights are adjusted correctly you shouldn't have any problems. In point of fact the wife's headlights are probably as good if not better than my HIDS on my IS300H, and they have the latest laser 2 bulbs from osram. Sent from my G8142 using Tapatalk
  7. I installed a couple of 6x9s on the rear parcel shelf and a 10inch sub in the boot of my is300h, as the standard 6 speaker system really lacks any substance like most people have experienced. It's one of the things that has disappointed me about lexus especially as it's a premium brand! For anyone who is thinking about attempting to do it, you need to be fairly confident as the whole interior of the car was removed to get access to the parcel shelf which cannot be removed as welded in... Also you have to break into the rear door speaker wires to pickup an audio feed as there are no audio looms to use. Having said that the effort was worth it! My sound system is now better than any ML system, and I can't wait to get in the car and crank up the tunes while chilling out driving... Sent from my G8142 using Tapatalk
  8. Just to let you know, halfords will price match Tayna batteries online. I saved my mum £40 on a new yuasa silverline just by showing the guy at the checkout the price's online and how high halfords was in comparison..... Sent from my G8142 using Tapatalk
  9. So what's the concensus of replacing the diff oil, auto box oil and hybrid coolant? Does this need to be done at the mileage in the service book? Other than getting lexus to do a hybrid health check I will be servicing my ct200h and is300h.... Sent from my G8142 using Tapatalk
  10. Just ordered some, as I think this may resolve my creaking issue on my Supra... [emoji6] [emoji1303] Sent from my G8142 using Tapatalk
  11. Yep as above, dirty door rubbers. I always clean the inside of the doors when I wash my car this includes the door rubbers. Keeps the car doors shutting with a nice sound plus reduces external sound from getting in. Add it to your cleaning schedule.... [emoji6] Sent from my G8142 using Tapatalk
  12. Reasonable money for a reasonable condition car in my opinion. Especially from a lexus dealer. Not sure you will be able to get all of your issues resolved, however you are looking at 300 quid to get the wheels refurbished to new and I would ask the dealer to supply a paint touch up kit free of charge, and sort the small scratches out myself... 13. How many miles and what did you pay? This will give us a better understanding as to whether you have been done... As an example I paid just over £17k for 21k miles on a 64 plate. My body work was pretty good, had a couple of little scratches here and there. Alloys in good condition, although some do have scratches on them. I didn't buy from lexus but the car supermarket was very good and had some very nice prestige cars. For the money I was happy. Sent from my G8142 using Tapatalk
  14. Check you don't have a fly buzzing around in the car. The ultrasonics will pick this up... Sent from my G8142 using Tapatalk
  15. I agree with you to a certain extent, however the main component is real leather regardless if it has been colour treated etc. The leather still needs essential oils to keep it supple. I wouldn't recommend something if I didn't feel it was worth it. Sent from my G8142 using Tapatalk
  16. That's good news. I must confess it's difficult to really see the issues from the pics. However once you get your car treat yourself to some Gliptone leather conditioner. I use it on all my car's leather seat's. Easy to use and gives the car a lovely leather car smell. https://www.liquidleather.co.uk/leather-care-c57/conditioners-c85/gt11-leather-conditioner-250ml-p157 Sent from my G8142 using Tapatalk
  17. That looks similar to my car when I purchased mine. Mines a 64 plate and had just under 21k on the clock. What mileage has yours done as I don't see it mentioned... Sent from my G8142 using Tapatalk
  18. This is why I do my own servicing, you can't trust any dealerships to do a proper job. I would be having a very serious conversation with the service manager! Sent from my G8142 using Tapatalk
  19. Wow that's disappointing to see after only 9 years! If that was mine I'd get a wire brush or drill with a wire wheel and give that a good clean up. Then spray it with some ACF50... Sent from my G8142 using Tapatalk
  20. It's plug and play. Sent from my G8142 using Tapatalk
  21. It's only a small sub box, which I made removable, so worst comes to the worst can remove it when I'm there... Sent from my G8142 using Tapatalk
  22. Thanks for the video, so it looks like it's done by plugging in their diagnostic machine. I will leave my sub in the boot and see if they say anything about getting access to the hybrid battery.... [emoji6] Sent from my G8142 using Tapatalk
  23. Ok I have been meaning to get my is300h a hybrid health check up since I bought it in March 2019... However the dealership isn't exactly on my door step so a special trip is needed. I have now booked my car in for a health check while I pick up a spare part for the Mrs ct200h. My question is, what exactly do they do? Do they need access to the hybrid battery? Because at the moment my sub is sitting in the boot... Or will they just plug in their computer and run a load of tests... Any insight would be appreciated. Sent from my G8142 using Tapatalk
  24. Yeah this is what I was thinking. Does the seat back have a fan unit or is it channelled up from under the seat? Sent from my G8142 using Tapatalk
  25. Just had a look at my front seats, they are indeed perforated which I never considered. I also checked under the seat and there are a couple of channels which appear to run to the top of the seat ie where I sit... Just wondering how difficult it would be to retro fit the ventilated cooling part? If it's just a fan how hard can it be..... Got plenty of space on the dash to fit a switch.... Anyone retro fitted the ventilated parts? Sent from my G8142 using Tapatalk
