  1. They are Brembo on the RCF. I'm replacing all discs and pads rhis Friday as mine are getting low and I'm not 100% happy with the front pads I put on last year.
  2. Same here and I managed to get 25% off by entering a discount code I found via Google 👍👍👍
  3. I'll let you know in a few weeks once they've been installed and bedded in.
  4. I've currently got EBC redstuff on the front, less dust and noise compared to OEM, but also less performance. I'm switching to EBC yellowstuff pads to hopefully improve performance. I've previously used redstuff pads, but personally I think the RCF is too heavy and powerful for them.
  5. I took my car to have the chrome window surrounds wrapped. However I was told the finish wouldn't be up to spec due to the lack of give in the rubber seals. They were unable to tuck the wrap under the rubber and declined the job.
  6. I've found Brembo discs at £85 each. Front pads EBC redstuff at £120 the rears textar pads at £100. I've currently got redstuff on the front, stopping power isn't quite up to OEM pads, but far less dust and much quieter. Textar are a trusted brand and make OEM pads for lots of different manufacturers.
  7. My brakes are pretty low, will be purchasing myself and fitted by a local garage I trust before it's MOT. I'm only using Lexus for servicing and MOT, no chance I'm paying their hourly rate!
  8. I managed to negotiate a 15% discount on a 3 year service plan with Lexus Stoke. The service plan includes MOTs and net of discount compares very favourable to independent specialists. Lexus Stockport point blank refused my request for discount, whereas Stoke listed the discount as 'new customer' and everything went through smoothly.
  9. Personally I would happily buy an RCF which has an indy stamp in the book. However many folk wouldn't touch it. If the price is right and you intend on keeping the car for several years then I say go for it.
  10. For some strange reason hitting the rev limiter really annoyed me as well.
  11. Have you got a link for the spacers? I'm thinking about going down that route myself.
  12. Prices increase every year, the 60k service last year was £875. Service plans are fixed and exclude price inflation, it's one of the key selling points and looking at the increase I'm glad I locked in the £875 via a service plan.
  13. Clarkson on the GSF: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.driving.co.uk/car-reviews/the-clarkson-review-2016-lexus-gs-f/amp/ His closing paragraph: I wouldn’t blame you at all if you went off and bought a BMW M3 or M5 instead. They’re both tremendous. But don’t assume they’re the best of breed. Because in my book this flawed old-school charmer has them beat.
  14. Clarkson really liked the GSF and said it was a better drive than the M5, yet hated the RCF with the same drivetrain and similar weight. He was expecting the second coming of the LFA with the RCF, but completely missed the point of the car.
  15. During one of his McLaren reviews he mentions the 675LT and then goes onto state he doesn't know what LT stands for 🤦‍♂️ How can a supposed petrol head not know that.
  16. Thanks for the link and the offer of fitting. I may purchase said unit once we are in more certain times.
  17. My thinking as well, but surely at those prices people will switch to momentum and they won't clear their high cost stock for ages.
  18. I've just visited my local petrol station, colossal difference in price for V-Power compared to standard unleaded.
  19. It does state 98, however it also states 95 can be used with no detriment to engine durability or driveability. I've used VPower, Momentum and normal unleaded over the past 18months and never noticed an increase in performance (daily driving) or mpg when using premium unleaded. My friend has a Porsche and he says he can't run it on anything less than 98, personally I think you should do what's makes you comfortable and in my case I'm comfortable using 95 unleaded 👍
  20. I believe you only experience a slight increase in performance right at the top of the rev range. I rarely take my car to the redline so have always gone with normal unleaded (shell) as per the owners manual. The engine has direct and port injection which eliminates carbon build up unlike Audi V8's etc.
  21. I'm that bored, I've decided to clean my engine bay.
