  1. I think it was only a certain number of various Lexus models manufactured from 2013 to 2019. This link provides a bit more detail (I know it is from an Australian site, but the campaign code is the same as in the letter I received): https://www.productsafety.gov.au/recall/toyota-motor-corporation-lexus-es300h-my2018-2019-lexus-gs-is-lx-and-ls-my2013-2019-lexus-is-f-my2013-2014-lexus-lc-and-rx-my2017-2019-and-lexus-nx-and-rc-my2014-2019-extended-recall
  2. I had the exact same service from Lexus Stockport on Wednesday when my fuel pump was replaced. No complaints at all from me, excellent service. 🙂
  3. Yes, I got a call from Lexus MK (where I bought my RX) on the 16th October advising it needs doing. Currently booked into Lexus Stockport for next Wednesday, but since had a letter from Lexus advising the same. They also advised, if possible, to have no more than ¼ of petrol in the tank when I drop it off (not easy with my mileage at the moment! 😄).
  4. Thanks Brent, I'm sure you'll have great trips down there too 👍 I found the hills affected the economy on the RX quite a bit, but 4 adults and a toddler, plus luggage, didn't help in that regard 😄
  5. Decided to post a few more pictures of the RX. Like the majority of folk, getting out and about hasn't been easy the last 6-7 months or so, but back towards the end of September/start of October we were lucky enough to take a holiday (just over 1000 miles) up to central and western Scotland. Although I've been several times in the past, it really is a stunningly beautiful part of the world. We were also blessed with beautiful weather for the most part, except on a couple of days (including the return journey through Glencoe which turned out to be the wettest day of the year so far in the UK. The RX was and is a joy to drive, making the journey as much as part of the holiday. I look forward to many future trips when restrictions allow again.
  6. I have owned a 2019 Sonic Titanium RX450h since December last year. It is classed as the RX + Premium Pack, but I believe very close to Luxury trim of the past model years. What impresses me most is the ride and interior quality, and the comparative silence to all other cars I've previously driven (despite being an SUV). I used to have an Jag XF with adaptive suspension, and in my opinion my Lexus without it is more comfortable than the Jag. I find it comfortable to drive on all road surfaces, particularly on the motorway - it eats up miles for breakfast, dinner and tea 🙂 I've not long returned from a 1000 mile trip up to central and western Scotland, and it was a joy to drive. The interior quality is fantastic in my opinion, very well put together with high spec materials. The seats are terrifically comfortable too with heated/cooled settings, etc. The only minor criticism I have is there is perhaps a little 'float' when driving at speed on fast, twisty A-roads (but then I just slow down a little 😉), but this may be mitigated somewhat by the adaptive suspension.
  7. Not as yet, but there is always a first time for everything! About 10 years ago, I went to look at a Golf and to trade in my Alfa Romeo 156 GTA against as a deposit (big mistake at the time). They tried to fob me off that the 156 was imported, and it was not showing up on their system and this would therefore affect the p/x price they could offer me. I knew that it wasn't imported, and was less than impressed at this. They also didn't really seem to want my business, so needless to say I went elsewhere...
  8. Looks like the number of week days in a year, maybe in London the roads are always wet at the weekends!
  9. I think that unseasonable mild week in April was our lot as far as summer was concerned 😉
  10. Hi Peter, I have a 2019 Sonic Titanium RX450h with a Cream leather/Noble Brown interior (I also wanted a lighter interior). It is classed as the RX + Premium Pack, but I believe very close to Luxury trim of the 2017 model year. It lacks the HUD/adaptive suspension of the Premier model, but does have a heated steering wheel (something the Luxury model doesn't have). I have no complaints of the ride quality of my RX, but I've never driven a model with adaptive suspension so can't compare (I did used to have an Jag XF with adaptive suspension, and in my opinion my Lexus without it is more comfortable than the Jag). I find in comfortable to drive on all road surfaces, with perhaps a little 'float' when driving at speed on fast, twisty A-roads (but then I just slow down a little 😉). I would suggest trying to take a reasonable length test drive over a variety of road surfaces if possible to decide whether you think the adaptive suspension is essential or not. I would also suggest ensuring you are able to get on with the Lexus Premier Navigation mouse pad; personally I have got used to how it works and find it OK to use, but others may have different opinions. I would recommend Lexus Stockport and Milton Keynes, these are the two dealerships I've dealt with in the past, and I have no complaints with either of them. Good luck on your search.
