    I've had mine just over 2 years, no major complaints but my gripes are: - As mentioned above, the fairly slow electric tailgate, with loud beeping (but resolved the beeping by adjusting the volume); - The sat nav isn't great, but I've got used to using it; - As Ed mentions above, the parcel shelf is a bit flimsy; - I too miss the heated front windscreen of my previous Jag XF, but only a proper for a relatively few days per year.

    Just echoing what others have said here already. I bought my delivery mileage RX in Dec 2019 with just over £10k off the list price, seemed like a good deal at the time. I've averaged about 35 mpg over that time, and my insurance is roughly £600 per annum (I'm about the same age as you, but have 15 years NCD). I also travelled to Milton Keynes from Manchester to secure the deal. Best of luck with whatever model you decide to go for.

    Hi Herbie, my manual states the car should be off to enter service mode. I would suggest pressing the Power button twice after you've turned the car on (Accessory > Ignition > Off), then hold the wiper stalk up for more than 2 seconds. Apologies if you've tried this already.

    Hi Leonard, welcome to the forums. You should be able to adjust the settings via the 'Display' section in the navigation screen. The screenshot from the manual below tells you how to enable/disable night mode:

    The navigation system is not the best, but I have been on journeys where the navigation has prompted me whether I wanted to update the route to get around a traffic jam/accident. Unfortunately, I couldn't say for sure how I set this up, or whether this was already configured when I bought the car. As regards the brightness between different settings, perhaps the issue is screen contrast? I think this can be adjusted here:

    The new RX looks fantastic Ed 😃 Regarding the manuals, yes Lexus still do this - I sent off an email to Lexus customer services after I bought my RX, and the full manual, plus infotainment manual, were received a few days later.

    The weather has also got colder recently (at least around here), I would imagine that's a factor - fuel consumption for hybrids does seem to be susceptible to colder temperatures.

    These aren't that recent as I've had my RX for almost 2 years: 1) As mentioned on another thread recently, the two small buttons on the boot that lock and unlock the car 🙂 2) The two hooks in the boot for hanging shopping bags 3) The small storage compartment to the right of the passenger's footwell There's also apparently two further hooks in the passenger footwell for hanging bags, but I've not found these yet! 🙂

    Have you tried smearing the suspect sensor with a small amount of Vaseline or silicone spray? I seem to recall this worked for other members in the past.

    Despite my previous post, I also have no complaints at all from Lexus Milton Keynes (where I bought the RX) and Lexus Stockport (where I have it serviced) - both have been excellent.

    For my 2nd service recently, I had overpressured my tyres slightly to 2.5 bar cold prior to the service. After I got the car back again, I checked the pressure reading the following day, and it read 2.3 bar cold (correct for the RX). So at least they did adjust the tyre pressures if nothing else 😄

    Barry, was your RX ever included in the low pressure fuel pump recall? Just curious if that may have anything to do with the hesitency.

    For me especially those who drive in the dawn/dusk/heavy rain with just daytime running lights on, so no rear tail lights are illuminated! 😞

    I've done quite a lot of miles recently on a mixture of E5 and E10, and I haven't noticed any noticable drop in fuel consumption when using E10.

    I didn't play any golf John, but happened to be passing through on the way back from John O'Groats and needed to fill up. Was in Scotland for a week starting off in Dornoch (no golf there either 🙂), but had a great time visiting various places along the east coast of Sutherland and Caithness.

    Filled up in Brora last week at £1.409 for E10. Have been running a mixture of E5 and E10 the last few months, and not noticed much difference in economy or performance 🙂

    Hi James, I don't think it's quite the same company, but I've used Shine Repair (part of Smart Insurance) when I scuffed a wing mirror in April this year. After sending a couple of pictures to them via the app, the approval to go ahead and carry out the repair was done within 24 hours. I booked an appointment about 2 weeks after the approval date, but they were able to offer me slots before this, within a few days if I remember (I couldn't have the repair done any earlier than this as I was due to go on holiday). The repair was also done to a very high standard, so no complaints from me.

    Passed 3 Shell and 1 Texaco fuel stations this morning. The first Shell I stopped at had no queues, but also no fuel 🙂 The 2nd Shell had standard unleaded and diesel, but no super unleaded. I stopped here and put £30's worth of petrol in at £139.9 (they had a sign requesting £35 be the maximum anyone should put in for now), so the prices have definitely gone up a few pence in the last week or so. The Texaco and other Shell station both seemed to have fuel too. No queues this morning, so the situation seems to be improving here.

    Hi Tim, perhaps the setting has been set to 'Day Mode', which would keep the nav screen bright even if the headlights are switched on. The screenshot from the manual below tells you how to enable/disable it:
