  1. Not sure 🤔 Maybe something from FSO Polonez, derived from a Fiat of some description?
  2. To put people out of their misery...it was a Lea-Francis Ace of Spades...only half a dozen built, and not a pretty design for sure!
  3. Yes, it really isn't a looker in my opinion too. I was tempted to put it into the thread on this forum about ugliest cars ever! 😄
  4. Close, but not quite. The car in question did use a Jaguar engine though.
  5. No, but only a handful were ever made.
  6. As Phil has mentioned above, try the Martin Lewis site - there are some good suggestions on there. One example is tweaking your job title to another than is similar and could apply to the role you are in currently, this could help reduce your premiums.
  7. Could the petrol pump have dispensed diesel by mistake, or vice versa? I imagine this very rarely happens, but it's not unknown: https://www.chorleycitizen.co.uk/news/1898868.motorist-claims-tesco-diesel-was-petrol/ Also, another potential spanner in the works if you own a diesel car with AdBlue: https://www.centretank.com/support/adblue-in-diesel-tank
  8. I have something similar on mine, but it reads: [LSR]:VGG05_Fuel Pump Replace The LSR acronym could stand for 'Lexus Safety Recall' maybe? Not sure about LSC though. If you get no joy from members here, you could contact Lexus Customer Relations, they've always been pretty knowledgeable when I've emailed them in the past.
  9. I had a similar problem in my RX. I'm not sure if it's different on the NX, but there should be an automatic zoom setting in the navigation options. If the setting is set to 'On', then the motorway junctions aren't displayed.
  10. Yes, I've noticed I can stay in EV mode at or just over 40mph too. Really makes a difference to the fuel economy on the 40mph dual carriageways near where I live.
  11. Although not quite on the scale of some of the appliances here, my mum received a Kenwood Chefette food mixer as a wedding present in 1973, and it's still going strong. I think the regular use (at least 2 or 3 times a week) has helped, but as far as I know no servicing or replacement parts have been fitted to the motor or electrical system. I can't imagine buying a food mixer today that would last 48 years!
  12. The pictures look grand Herbie, congrats 🙂 Hope you have many happy miles in your new purchase 👍
  13. Lovely looking car Herbie and a cracking colour combination 😀 I specifically looked for an RX with the Ivory/Noble Brown trim when buying mine, it really does make a difference to the interior ambiance in my opinion. Welcome to the 4RX Club! 👍
  14. My RX did originally come with a 300-odd page handbook (plus service book), but this doesn't give anywhere near the level of detail of the full handbook and navigation manuals (nearly 800 and 400 pages respectively!).
  15. I've just done this myself, after deciding I would prefer to look things up on paper rather than via a screen (I'm a bit old school). It only took a couple of weeks from sending the email to receiving the manuals today. Good service considering the lockdown, and will give me plenty of bedtime reading! 😀
  16. That's certainly what I try and do to keep my 12v battery charged up. I know a lot of people haven't be able to use their cars as much during this past year or so (myself included as I've been working at home, lockdown etc.), but I generally drive 'the long way round' to any places I need to go to, e.g. food shopping. Helps to charge the battery up and I'm still able to enjoy driving the car 🙂
