  1. Wow that's first time I've seen this sort of thing unbelievable phew. We go to Cornwall a couple of times a year and when we stop at service stations usually Strensham then Taunton Dene both are on the M5 i have always had a look at the EV points. My reasoning been if i had an EV would i get to Cornwall in it in short no without charging. So i look at where they are i have only seen them at these service stations there was a couple in each now i think Tesla have a bank of them in one of them. Anyhow going on ive never seen a vehicle plugged in one of them (not looked at the Tesla ones) but. I discovered a company called Ecotricity have the franchise to supply chargers to all the service stations. I dont know if that is still the case. Anyhow i really studied one of these chargers when we stopped. I was suprised to read on the instructions and you could only use it if you had an app installed on your phone or had previousley registered with this company. Alarmingly it also read DO NOT USE if wet, if it is raining, if an electric storm is present or if it is lightning. Has anyone on here seen this. Massive issue with the infrastructure in this country regards charging compatability maybe thats another thread. Thanks for these posts most interesting. Brent
  2. Barry i was in lidl last night and the one you bought they still had one in store and someone had opened it up. It looked fine to me it was just the other one was a lot larger and would fill the full cavity. Brent
  3. Yes John i have to agree I've driven an automatic for a while now and without any shadow of a doubt the e-cvt is infinitely superior. Lexus have spent a lot of time and money with research to get the excellent product it is.
  4. Mine came with the Bridgestone,s its an all weather tyre i believe. The Dunlops are a bit softer i heard somewhere. I also heard that they put the Dunlops on when leaving the factory for spring summer deliveries. Which i cant subscribe to as my Vehicle was built 1st March and it had the Bridgestone,s on. Built in March purchased in September.
  5. Chris I'm new to the Lexus family i am also new to Spotify and still getting the hang of it. Regarding Android auto i use this and the UX conveniently has two USB ports within the central armrest storage area. It also has a nice little tuck away so you can plug your phone in via the USB and i rest my phone where the wireless charging station is plugged in the cable runs nicely down the side of the centre and through the tuck away into the USB port very very easy convenient set up. So when powered up I hit the menu button go to Android Auto on the touch pad and presto no problem whatsoever Spotify is there and anything else you require from the Android Auto platform its very user friendly. I don't have a wireless charging station but the USB connections there are four in total two in the back below the air vents are so convenient. So the spotify i have on my phone is relayed to the head unit via USB and Android Auto with no need for a sim card, i cant answer for the NX hope this helps. By the way the UX is a good car and more room than what the critics say.
  6. Hi Barry I don't know what the configuration Chris has used but the liner you have purchased there is also another type in Lidl they were on sale the same time the other one is a lot deeper so if the lift up board and bowl or a spare wheel were removed it would fill the full cavity. The 2 I saw on sale were priced at about £5.99 & £12.99 respectively I'm saying approx. here. I'm actually kicking myself i didn't get the bigger one, but there is definitely a lot more room in there than you think.
  7. Nowadays they upload to the vehicle settings on the on board computer. You should also be presented with an invoice at each service i usually keep these as proof.
  8. I think it went into administration and is now run by Heycar.
  9. Nick the post by Chris with a liner would do the trick. Lidl had some in last week.
  10. I asked about this from the dealer i just bought mine from . Never heard of it.
  11. Yes Chris and thanks for posting this. I took time this weekend to explore this capability and your right there is a fair amount of room there. A couple of things surprised me as well. The spare wheel location moulding only had the towing eyelet fastened onto it, all the other compartments where empty what a waste of space i thought. Saying that with run flats that's all that's needed i suppose. There wasn't a reflector (manual did say might not have one) there was place for jack there isn't one and i would have expected a first aid kit there wasn't one. I also noticed the 12volt battery was not where the manual says it will be (that's a hot topic of discussion on here now charging etc). Yes your bang on there is a capability to near double your boot capacity a good post thanks. Brent.
  12. It might not be what your after Luigi. I spoke with the Lexus connectivity guys about various connectivity Updates etc. They told me maps is updated twice a year spring and Autumn. Not seen sight of latest one yet though. Anyhow the number to ring at Lexus connectivity is 01737 367026 i think there are two lads who handle this service Jack and Craig I'm sure they will help you if they cant they will know someone who can, give em a go hope this helps and good luck.
  13. Honest John on his forum used to say this was the future.
