    It happens when the wheels spin with me. Try doing a controlled 'burn' or wheel spin. Dont know about the 'cat' noise coming from the back though it sounded a quiet buzzing. Must be the traction control stablizing.

    I too dont like xenons behind me as they do blind(especially BMW scum). Filth use them on their volvo patrol cars too. Now they can shift.

    Its a shame because looking at my is200 it looks mean (full trd kit, kazama exhaust, black diamond discs and 18" styling alloys) that should do more than it does. It deserves the 200+bhp mark easily, if not more but unfortunately it is like a tank. Really tempted by the supercharger but again as i stated before a couple of grand more and you are looking at some cars stock 250+Bhp.

    Koshime i have PIAA bulbs all round (12 led cluster PIAA's for the side lights) and they really do the business after HID's. They are expensive however, £70+ per pair. I have the super white & white and it is bright. I managed to get a good deal on the set however so it was worth it.

    Kazama is a nice exhaust i have one on mine. I was after the Dragger II or Hiper but they were discontinued. They were loud as f*** from a sound clip i heard.

    Has anyone got the reliable 230/240bhp with the mods that prolex mentioned? What does the IS go like?

    Easiest way is to sell the lexus :P Seriously though if youre after serious power you have to spend pennies. I would just get a car that is stock 200+BHP. The lex is comfort and prestige i cant warrant spending all that cash on mods jsut to see it gain bits and bats of power. The supercharger is definitely a good mod but personally i would put the £3000+ toward another car. I am enjoying my tank and the lack of power at the moment so i am happy :D Probably get an Mitsi evolution or something in that league in about 12mnths.

    I used a hot air gun on it by removing the main beam bulb but it still returned. Getting really f***** off now with this problem. Can anyone else shed more light about drilling holes into the unit to allow more airflow??

    Having searched through the posts this is not an uncommon problem with lexus. Having tried all the solutions the problem keeps returning(cant replace as out of warrantee plus i have brows on!!) Would drilling a small hole, to allow circulation in the top of the unit cure it?? It is the passenger side where the bay is stuffed There was something mentioned about breather flaps etc in the posts i searched which kinda lost me. Any light shed would be appreciated.

    Things do come in three's i agree with that 100%. This is just complete bad luck. Niraj i know how you feel because this happened with my previous car. Wish there was something to say or do but there aint other than things could be worse *hard to imagine i know* I hope you get it sorted fella. Pip

    I am not sure whether Mark (Lexus Teeside) can get hold of any more of these as when i got mine i got hold of a set from an order that he placed ages ago as they just werent supplying him due to his prices.

    Mine is a 2001 model so falls under the 5yr guarantee. My tape deck seems to be the problem though. Can i still take it in and they will replace it??

    I use the tape deck to play my minidisc through it with one of those convertors. It keeps auto switching from side to side a lot then just ejecting the tape. It is really getting on my nerves now. Anyone had this problem or any solutions. All i keep thinking is the that lexus have made a crap headunit. Any reccomendations to what double din to replace it with? I generally use minidisc the most then cd. Just waiting for the error 3 message to happen.

    Is it a big job changing the original stereo unit to a double din? I take it the amp speakers everything would have to be changed?
