  2. this is it the normal law abiding road user seems to drive around with a great big target on them and we are seen by the goverment as an easy source of revenue Unfortunately we don't seem to have the solidarity of the Americans who were up in arms when their petrol went to $4 a gallon and i know its illlegal and socially unnacceptable but doesn't seeing a burned out or vandalised speed camera bring a smile to your face :)
  3. this is one of the big benefits of being in the armed forces we get a free gym thats packed with all kinds of fitmess equipment and we have free gym hire and astroturf and just to really rub salt into the wounds for those of you paying a gym membership fee it costs us £3 for an access card that lasts till we get posted to another camp :D
  4. well i finally fitted my induction kit with a bit of modding via the machine shop and it sounds great so with the k&n filter to buy the whole lot will have cost me just under a ton so if you are prepared to do a bit of work yourself you will get a good deal

  7. If you read any of the previous posts i put up you may have seen i am going to be getting some lowering springs in the near future and i am considering fitting them myself. The main problem with this is it is something i have never done before and just about all i know is get a good set of spring compressors. So if anyone has done this at all a quick heads up on the best way to tackle it and whats got to be removed would be greatly appreciated (because i don't want to do any major dissassembly if someone knows a trick where u remove three bolts and twist something) better clarify this will be getting done to a mk 1 GS cheers leg
  8. dunno what their paint is like i would have assumed it is 3m as they make lots of that kind of stuff but i do know they can mix it in bigger quantities

  11. y does it make it harder being 4-door? Any idea how much money it would be? ← its harder doing a 4 door conversion because of strengthening the sides enough so the car doesn't either fold on impact or sag in the middle theres a good bit of structural strength in your tin top and besides convertibles always make me wary of the jealous types with penknives who like to have a go at your hood
  12. think eibach is a german company anyhow and i have made my enquiry now just waiting for the reply :D
  13. antifreeze eek would wash out your boot then that stuffs a bit paint and fibre unfriendly (stinks too)

  16. got this reply off eibach today from an email i sent If your vehicle is USA / Japanese spec we do a kit for it. 4 off lowers / up rated springs. Part number 8241-140A. The price is £166.03 + vat for the kit.
