I bought the Deep crystal 3 stage system the other day and since I don't have my car back yet I decided to try it out on the missus' car. Stage 1 is the paint cleaner which is pretty good a you can feel it really working into the paint when applying and removing it! This stage is the toughest to do and I had arms like Arnie when I finished it. I thought there was no way I could get through another two stages It is worth putting the effort in at the first stage though cos the rest is so much easier if the paint is prepped right! Stage 2 is the polish which I still tried to work pretty hard into the paint when applying etc. This is where you start to see the big difference in paint finish. The paint feels supersmooth to touch and all swirl marks etc are pretty much gone :D Stage 3 is the Carnuba wax which goes on and off the car very easily. This really deepens the finish that bit further to give the extra glossy look and you dare not lean against the car after this as you'll prob slide right off the side :P Here's a couple of quick pics I took but they are only taken with my 1.3 megapixel camera phone so they are not very high res. It had also lightly rained on the car just before I took the pics but when I do my own car I will put up some proper high res pics of before and after for yas. BTW don't laugh at the silly looking bonnet vents etc as a standard bonnet will be put on very soon!!!

I haven't got them on the car yet as they are getting refurbished and my car is still waiting for a chip for the new ECU before we can map it so I don't know if they rub or not but I suspect they will I got two new Nankang tyres for £89+vat each but I am told that they are noisy and not the best in the wet. Noise doesn't bother me but the grip would be nice to have :P They are 235/35/19. As far as width and offset goes I can't remember but I will check when I get them back. All I know is that they came off an IS which is good enough for me :D

Yeah I got that one on DVD. It doesn't show very much of the tezza though. But the type R racing is good Jap drivers get so excited

I've never had a standard grill on an IS but I do know that a lot of standard grills on a lot of cars only look like they flow air but really only have a small cut out behind them for air flow. Don't really see the point in it but hey wadda ya do???? Change the grill :D

Not worried about the noise but the lack of grip may be an issue. Ah well I'll just have to get used to driving a bit more sideways LOL

Just recieved a set of 19" OZ Superleggeras for my IS last week. I have just left them in to get re-conditioned as the seller was a bit of a knob jockey and told me that the wheels and tyres were in good condition!! YEAH RIGHT I also had to buy two new tyres which I was even less impressed with. Rant over :D Other wise I am very happy with the look of the wheels but as they are away getting fixed at the mo I have no pics of them on the car yet. Still waiting to get my car back too but it should be sorted before the end of the week. Heres a wee pic and i will post some more up when I get the car back and the wheels on :P

Mate of mine told me he could get 19" tyres at trade price! He came back with a price of £165 inc vat for 235/35/19 for the cheapest tyre available. I then checked the price from the local place I usually use and they sorted me with two Nankang tyres (235/35/19) for £89+vat each. they are not a very well known tyre but they are Y rated which is 160mph+ They look fairly competent but I haven't got them on the road yet so time will tell.

I know you said it's about wedlock and all but why on earth would you have to drive the shiiters if it was your wife who pranged her own car. She should be driving the scrappers as punishment for crashing the car. If it was the other way about would your wife drive the munters for you so you could stay in a respectable car???? Just some food for thought! :D

I'd also be interested in a swap Sean. Thats the front bumper I've been after for a while now. Dunno if you'd be wanting my bumper though but it is already modified to fit a huge intercooler so you should have no worries bout that!! :D The bumper is the C1 bumper. I would consider swapping the whole kit but deffo the front. BTW you would also be getting the sport grill with my bumper. I wouldn't worry bout the year of the car as it has only low miles anyway

I have had three different players give the error3 message and all of these were re-placed under warranty!! That was in my last IS though.

Yeah this would be good. Car of the month is done on a few other forums and it seems to work well. Dunno who or how they decide each month though

£225 for two night with breakfast and dinner isn't bad value at all I thought. That is for two people aswell :D

Flookin not happy It is gonna be another two weeks before my car is ready!!! The trigger disc on the lower crank is not compatible with the chip in the ECU as it has 34 teeth which is apparently very rare. Autronic now have to make a new chip and send it Jonny(Autronic fitter and mapper) which will take a week to program and a week to get here as it has to go via MADevelopments first. Jonny has already started installing the rest of the ECU(anti-lag, launch control etc etc) so it is simply a case of swaping the chip when it arrives and then mapping Ah well these things happen

Is that a 15mm Greddy catch tank you've got there mate ← Yup it is a Greddy one but about the 15mm bit a haven't got a clue :duh: It look well smart.... kinda "race spec" if ya know wat I mean. The heat mat gives the same effect but the one thing that is for definate is that everything is functional and not just boy racer "tacky and usless". Well alright the anodised fittings are just for show sorry that is buttons what you are paying for that compared to some I've heard of! BTW do you not still have to by-pass the air inlet sensors???

Check the website they have made it easier to understand!!! ← For a twin room it is $165 per person. So if there are two people in the one room it is then $330 I think thats the way it works!! :duh:

Look good so far Owen. Do you not need connections for air flow sensors and breather pipe etc? I seen one on Gords (GRiM) motor with all these bits sticking out of it. I would recommend the HKS dome type filter. The look good are available in different colours are available in different sizes give massive air flow. Here's a couple of pics of mine with the turbo

I would say the same thing but he ain't a modder. He just wants it to go properly without blinding people behind him He would be more interested in the turbos if they were about £600 Matt

The cost of that kit is insane but respect to Dave for fitting it. I was gonna tell you guys that someone put this on BB as I seen a link to it on another forum (jon44w.com). Glad I didn't now the bumper looks to be huge and I would be with the majority vote on the rear :shutit: sideskirts ain't bad though but it wouldn't be my personal choice of kit
