  1. Damn it he beat me to it again!!! Yeah I was out with Jonny doing a bit of full throttle mapping last nite after he sorted the fuelling problem and the car is going very well :D :D :D :D I am happy with .55bar for the time being but even at this I still need bigger injectors as the standard ones are running far too much duty They will do until I source some other ones or go rob the northern bank to pay Dave for his ones :P :P Jonny is still in possesion of the car so he can do some more mapping and also fit the adaptor to get the vvti working again and fit the launch control and anti-lag!! :D I will post my 1/4 mile times up on sat when I get back. Oh and marcus to answer your previous question I found out that the fuel pump fitted is capable of over 500bhp so I should do the job nicely
  2. Marcus- I don't know what spec the pump is or the regulator but the pump is only giving 3.5bar of fuel pressure at max which is not enough. Dave- I have a full 3" system and custom down pipe as you say so that end is sorted. I have been searching high and low for a set of standard 1g-gte injectors but they are impossible to find :duh: The car is only going to run .6bar of boost until the internals are sorted. I would be interested in buying your injectors Dave but I am over budget already and £115 per injector is way too much for me to spend at this stage. I was thinking more along the lines of £115 for six :P Do any of you guys know where to source a set of standard injectors from the 1g-gte??? They where only sold in Japan I think but I can't find anything on the web.
  3. Yup it is going and boosting :D but only to .4 bar as the injectors are maxing out!! A second in line fuel pump is on the way but some of you turbo guys may be able to help me out on this.............................PLEASE I think it was Daza_w, SPoCK and a few others who had all ran over .5bar on standard injectors. If I remember correctly SPock was running close to .8bar on standard injectors?????? I would be interested in seeing the difference in the fuelling setup between these cars and mine.......if any......as this could highlight the problem. Air force one is Jonny who has been mapping etc etc along with tearing his hair out waiting on parts I will be taking the car to the drag strip this weekend anyway for a semi-performance run to see how it goes so I will let yous know what the times are!! :D
  4. Smashing!!! :D I will be booking right after Crimbo as I will have no more money to spend after going to Prague this weekend for a stag doo :P
  5. Is the Lexus IS the classic shape or the new IS250 model that they are talking about?? Cracking results either way. This will shut a few of my argumentative friends up for a while!! :D
  6. we get that all the time over here in my street!!! I honestly think I would fall over if I seen a site like that anywhere in Ireland!!
  7. That is good but the pink dots never fully disappear and keep showing up again. still wicked though!!
  8. Don't get it??? how do you make it keep going to get more points?? I got 170 and then only 13!! The instructions are in japanese too :duh:
  9. The only other modded lexus I have seen over here in N.Ireland apart from Gordons (GRiM) is a plat ice on with a TTE front bumper and it is very low with tinted windows all round. Haven't a clue who it is though. But yeah I do always still have a little squint at any Lexus that drive by just to be nosy. :P
  10. I am driving a toyota Rav 4 (stop laughing) at the moment while I'm waiting on my car coming back!!! there is a noise that comes on at random from behind the dash that sounds like a motor from a pump (like a fuel pump noise). This noise stays on constantly and even when the car and ignition is turned off you can still hear it going but it eventually dies down to a complete stop. It has to be the most irritating noise I have ever heard from a car and I haven't a clue what it is. The car has air con but I don't use it. sounds similar to your problem can't wait till I get my car back for this reason alone!!!! rant over............feel a little bit better now
  11. OH........MY..........GODDDD very good.
  12. If it was adjustable I wouldn't mind getting one so I could have different settings for during the week to make it less vicious if ya know what I mean. But I think I'll pass on that one
  13. would be interesting to watch someone blow themselves to smitherines while drill holes into the fuel tank to fix the sub box. Why not remove the rear seats if you are that pushed for space. I know I considered it for my build but opted just to go for the boot.
  14. sounds like he says to her "just checking miss Monster are you enjoying the winter break?" then it get more confusing the more times you listen :duh: now sounds like the Bear in Hampstead heath talking to Tara palmertomstonkison
  15. What kind of diff was it and how much??? Is it adjustable too? I might be interested in on of these :D
  16. Can't manage to get the bit after you remove the panel with the screw driver with all the switches. I assume it has to add up to 1111 or is that wrong???
  17. The second one was posted before but well worth a second look!! third one was very funny though :P
  18. I only wanted to clean the paint before applying Carnauba wax, I didn't have any swirls to remove so I was trying to avoid polishes. Do you reckon I would have been better to use the stage 2 as well? ← Yeah it is the stage 2 that makes the difference. When you use stage one your paint will deffo be squeeky clean but it is unprotected. The carnuba wax leaves a protective coating alright but that is all. The stage 2 is the part that actually nourishes and smooths the paint to give it the shine and glossy look, then the carnuba is to cover it so it stays that way :D Aido the NXT is like a two in one as you said there, but it is hard to get the same/better results from somthing that is polishing and protecting at the same time if ya know wat I mean. I think the NXT is in a little stage of its own somewhere between stages 2 and 3 of the deep crystal. Also the stage 1 of deep crystal is not an abrasive cleaner like some others, it works slightly differently (chemicals etc). I also have only done this on the peugeout as I haven't got the Lex back yet so it could well be a different story with the paint finish on my own car. £20 for the set of three on the wonderful ebay :P
  19. That looks smart Owen!!! very colourful engine bay :D The s/c really does complete the is200 when all the other mods are done. The bumper looks a bit scary though some big balls needed to modify a bumper like but very different Now all i need to do is get my car back and win some shows!!!! :P
  20. would have to agree with adie on the turbo bit but I'm still waiting for my car so I can't experience it yet
  21. I had one of those in my civic coupe a few years back and it seemed to be fine. It is simply just a normal air filter with the cover on it. They are fairly cheap too. couldn't really fault it other than it is a universal filter that can be fidly to fit but not that bad.
  22. v.funny Bazza Martin you need to do the other 2 stages to get the real benefit, trust me you will be very happy with the results!!
