It's when you are out at a meet or somthin and you pull up beside you're mate and switch the engine off and wonder why the lights don't go off automatically????? This is annoying with the remote start on the clifford alarm too. When I set the car for remote start before getting out at night with the lights in auto position, I then get out, lock the car, the engine shuts off but the headlights stay on and don't go off. I then have to go through the whole procedure again after manually turning the lights off in the car :duh:

I know that the number has to be reached but what if it takes weeks for it to be reached or if it is never reached!!! I need the plugs this week and cannot keep the car off the road just to wait on plugs!! The problem is that I know there is some sort of commitment issue when you join the group buy and I don't want to just leave the group buy unless I have to!! I need to get some answers for this please from anyone that knows asap or I will have to get the plugs myself!!

I hate "trying" to clean the back window!! I would suggest a paint brush with the cloth wrapped round it! It will reach further and it won't scratch the window!!

Bit off topic but Steve di you get my PM's about the spark plug Gb and the reply to the post you put up about the plugs?? Need to know if I can get these!! I can send money straight away!!! Back on topic- they are nice eyelids but unfortunately I already bought eyelids for me motor!!

Does anyone know what the deal is with the group buy on these??? I have joined the group buy early last week for the 6 denso plugs but I need the plugs asap. I have tried to contact Steve who is organising the group buy but I don't know if he has got the PM's yet as I have had no reply! I need to know if there is a time limit to how long this Gb will last and if it is too long for me then can I get my name taken off the list for the group buy as I will have to get the plugs elsewhere! help on this would be much appreciated from Steve or someone who knows more about this! The EBC's are usually a good job but make sure you run them in right and after that try not to brake too hard when they're cold! They have a tendancy to warp if abused!! If you're goin to go for the EBC's then I would advise the greenstuff pads as they work better with the discs and produce far less brake dust!!!

That is cool!! SANDPAPER I have always wanted to try buffing a car but never got round to it! Even buffing worries me as I think that I will ruin the paint but. . . . . . . . . SANDPAPER Those must be huge klangers you got there Singh!!!! B) BTW is there any post on here telling how to buff a car without damaging paint???

Passed first time and it was only 10 days after my 17th birthday!! :P I only had three lessons too!!! The only contreversial thing about this topic is this: When learning for your driving test, the instructors teach you how to pass the test and not actually how to be a good driver so this is not always an indication of a good driver! Somebody told me that one time and I thought it was fairly correct!! :D

I am replacing the ecu to a certain extent in that the standard ecu will remain in place but only to run things like air-con and abs etc etc. The running of the engine itself will all be done courtesy of an Autronic ecu. I haven't checked to see if I will still have the vvti or not and I don't know what this ODB-II is. We have also figured out how to adapt the throttle cable itself already. would be interested in hearing more about the electronic side of it though (problems that I have to get around). BTW Dave, is there anything that you aren't working on modifying??? :D you seem to have though of everything, LOL. suppose it helps being a Lexus owner too

Hello folks, Has anyone ever had any probs with the auto-close feature on the driver door window in the IS200. When I double click the button upwards to close the window automatically all the way up, it does go up but then hits the top and comes back down halfway!! The only way to fully close the window is to hold the button until it is fully closed but to make sure that I don't double click the button as it will simply come back down after I let go! I assume it is something to do with the safety feature for the auto-close in that if it hits something on the way up it will stop and go back down! Problem is that I think the sensor is not setup right and the window prob doesn't realise that it is all the way up so it thinks that something is blocking it!# Help on how to solve this or adjust the sensor etc would be fantastic! :D

@ adie slightly but everything is on (turbo..intercooler etc gauge feeds...) fit coilovers today............then its fire up time then the mapping which will be fun ← :winky: :D ← Damn it!!! You guys are about two weeks ahead of me on the turbo front!! . . . . . . . . Wish I was at that stage!! can't flooking wait @ Dave,---is this the little secret you won't tell me about yet BTW!! :winky: Think I got it sorted anyway man! :P

would one of these digi clusters fit an IS200 with a bit of fiddling. they are nicer than the standard is200 speedo IMO :D

Hello folks!! I was wondering if anyone has ever by-passed their electronic throttle control on the IS200. I don't like the delay in the throttle response and I know that there is a throttle cable already in place but it is only for use as a back up system! :duh: When fettled with, the electronic throttle triggers a problem and the engine management light comes on while the revs idle high and the car doesn't run right! when you reset the ecu this all goes back to normal! Also I am replacing the ecu so I should be able to overcome the warning light etc etc! thanks in advance guys! :D

I had this problem but only very slightly on my last IS200 se, but then again that car was burning oil badly so it was prob thrashed a bit before I got it! I would be interested in hearing solutions to this also though as my current gear box will prob take a bit of a pounding with the turbo going in!

Ebay have tailor fitted mats for the IS all the time and I don't think they are too pricey either! I also think they are genuine toyota items too if you choose the right ones :D

spoiler and rear bumper are pants but the side skirts are spot on and I could live with the front bumper but there are nicer ones out there IMO!!

Hey spock, unfortunately I haven't a clue about open/closed loop etc etc. but I would be intersted to see the results or the 300bhp barrier breaking as from what I remember you are running standard internals!!!! Ps- would a stand alone ECU not cure all the problems of this open/closed loop???

My wee bro has the second one down the list and although it does the job perfectly and even plays mp3's, it looks so so cheap when fitted. The unit actually protrudes about 1 inch from the dash when fitted and the whole look of the unit in general is crap!!! When the screen comes out it takes away from the bad look but it is still not the best. Works perfectly though. and you don't need to worry bout all that cos your not after that one anyway!!!!!!!!!!!11

Hello peeps, This is prob in the wrong section but I can't put it in the Gold members section cos the site won't let me become a Gold member! This is precisely my problem! I tried to sign up for Gold there now and I couldn't because the page told me that the user name and password had already been taken which is correct because they have been taken by me!! It says in the sign up page to enter the same username and password as you did when you registered which is exactly what I did and it wouldn't let me join.
