  1. Was not there last year but at Billing, there was a JAE Radio going, will this be the same this year, have checked out JAE Site but no mention of this Cheers
  2. I go through on average 1 set of disc's a year due to warping, different type of pads and different makes of discs make no difference, this time, I've got drilled and grooved, bed'd them in and then hammered the braking to heat the disc's up, and then had them skimmed, once discs have been reheated, they don't warp again, (so I've been Advised By a Local Garage), will let you know in about 6 months as they've been on for this length of time so far,
  3. That White Looking Rust on the water pump is a sign of a leak in the past, sounds like lime scale from the water used. Better of completely flushing the system to remove any residue that may still be present, and then use the "Red Toyota Coolent", this will protect againest further build up within the system. If there is lime scale on the outside of a past leak, you can bet there's a build up within the system, which can cause the themostat to fail during load as well as coating the pipes and waterways in the engine.
  4. I'd say it may be down to 1 or 2 things, either not enough coolent in the system or there is a leak within the system. Take it you have checked all the hoses for leaks etc...., could also be down to the mixture being wrong - ie - more water than coolent. Hope this helps BR Paul
  5. I'd attend if it was possible Jens, hoping everything will be OK to allow me to come along to this next year. Take plenty of piccs so that I know what I've missed please BR Paul
  6. Yep - Happened to me After playing with different settings, mine starting cutting out suddenly like I'd run out of fuel, tweaked down a bit and everything ran fine, thank goodness. The difference it makes in removing only 1 cat is quite good, and you can get through the MOT without any problems aswell.
  7. A big yes, Your car is driving under load all the time while your brakes are binding

  9. This is the grill offered by Prolex - Prolex-UK Sports Grill, fits MKI GS and Aristo On Ebay, It's this - new from IMEXDESIGNS Don't think this is Prolex under a different name, even the pictures - all of them have been ripped off here for this sale.
  10. Austin - are you on about the photo at the bottom of the front page with 3 GS's in, if so, this was 2003 when at billing mate, mines on the left, Craig - Jac114 is in the middle with Les - shreik is on the right
  11. Yipes.... £1 per litre- In Luton, I pay 90.7 at Asda, and in MK, 87.9 for unleaded. While prices are this high, I'll stick to unleaded

  16. Very nice indeed, I like having the different light centre panel, gets people guessing, but I did remove the toyota badge on the engine, looked a bit odd having 2 different badges on.
  17. Sorry mate, thought you was saying about removing the keys while still in gear.
  18. Hi Gary, Welcome to the club, shame you feel you need to sell but needs out-way the must as they say. Based on what I seen some of the beasty's go for, 6 - 8K is about the range you should be looking for. BR Paul

  21. No Bryan, it's so you can move the selector from "P" to any other postions without having to start the car or have your keys
  22. Leeky - you've counted right mate, there 8 speakers on the MK I Aristo, on some models without the "Auto Purifier", the are 2 speakers on the parcel shelf how-ever there's no sub so this would make 9, but the sound is rather tinny. There's only one 5.75 " speaker on the centre dash, the rest in the doors are 6.5" 1 way mini's, the one's with the ports, the tweeter's are 1" on both front doors, the sub is an open enclosure 12" Sub. On the models without the "Auto Purifier", the 2 speakers on the parcel shelf are the 5.75" on the sides of the parcel shelf but without the sub, both models still have the same grills to cover the speakers/fans
