  1. And most fiats/fords happy to keep the lexus secrets to myself let people buy BMW/Mercedes/VAG
  2. Would be nice but I have a couple of LS400's that I want to keep (and tidy up a little) plus a terrible hankering for an ISF too. the CT is a sensible and practical option to ferry me to and from my new day job however, but i thought a lightly used second hand one would save me a few £k
  3. Thanks im thinking of something perhaps 3 years old, but wanted to compare the quoted 65+ mpg against reality
  4. Based on current owners experiences, what's the version to go for? And equally importantly what's the real world mpg?
  5. A €5 car would empty my wallet at the minute (and the foreseeable future)
  6. You just need to find someone who does and who you can trust. Plus you have the depth of knowledge of the users here to offset any "dodgy diagnoses" I'm also a mechanical novice, but I bloody love driving mine! and down south I'm sure there are several well experience lexus independents
  7. I honestly don't think you'd regret it either theres some work to get done but once complete the ride is exceptional. Most of the work would need to be done on any car anyway, and as malc has pointed out you'll never suffer from depreciation
  8. Nice car but Far too much for a cat d i think it's got its own thread from earlier
  9. David it says these aren't road legal in the advert? possibly just a cut and paste error in the listing?
  10. i Like it. It's not £10k in my opinion however. I remember following this thread, the car was in a sorry state, but there are no interior pictures, which is a shame
  11. Same colour as my mark 4, almost a purple tint. I used a pink wax and it brings the colour out very nicely. good luck with the car
  12. It's a genuine story very much a lexus enthusiast, now with a unique LS
  13. Hi roy its part of the engine number I think, three digits that translate to something below https://www.ih8mud.com/tech/tsb/LexusLX450/lpa00296.pdf
  14. One at lexus Cheltenham for £20k in grey? Feels expensive when compared to similar age / mileage cars? but if you could get an extra couple of years warranty out of it, maybe it's worth it?
  15. There was a thread on it the closest I could find was this reference. Might be worth a manual trawl through the pages around the date below? I'm sure it was around the 60k service that was putting people off. That and the bizarre interior.
  16. filter under dealers, under the DISCOUNTS header; most should be there, varying discounts on labour, parts and servicing the other useful discount I've found is Halfords, that pays for itself in no time, depending on what you need of course.
  17. If they are the Nextbase, we bought some last year for a road trip to Hungary. Worked an absolute treat (with Lexus Club discount from Halfords too). Then one broke coming back, shortly after getting off the tunnel in the UK, Halfords swapped out (keep your receipt), shortly after the other went (again replaced) They do have them on offer in sales so worth looking out for that double discount.
  18. Don't rule out a smart repair, some cracks can be fixed and sprayed over
