  2. I should be attending on the Sunday as Its only 30 minutes away , cars not looking the best and it looks a bit of a ****ter , but it's my ****ter and I love it . Met some great people from an old forum , Bob , Neil , Steve and that Scottish fella with the noisy RCF , our Graham , but seriously its a great meet and always a pleasure to go .
  3. I've had this problem with both my 2002 IS and my Toyota truck, the security system seems to be really sensitive to tiny insects flying around inside the car. I think there is a way to make it less sensitive, if you can interpret the badly-translated owners' manual.
  4. Great thanks, I guess though that there is no 0% PCP on these ones. Good value though, I will have a look
  5. I have a 2002 IS300, which I've only driven for about 200 miles in the past 5 years, have finally decided to get it 'restored'. I drove it today for the first time since last October, and found that the rear view mirror had failed, ie it has two different colour levels. It's not the end of the world, but I'd like to replace it. Any recommendations for parts like this?
  6. I have a battery disconnector on mine, they won't figure that out. If there's no battery power, the gear lever locks, and the car won't budge, it can't be put in neutral and pushed.

  8. https://www.motorfinity.uk/car-manufacturer/lexus/ https://www.motorfinity.uk/car-manufacturer/lexus/rz-electric-estate/450e-230kw-direct4-714-kwh-5dr-auto-premium/101084/ You qualify if you have a blue light card. £13.4k off the base model, contact them for other models but discounts will be similar / often more.
  9. I’ve done a bit of research on this and will be doing mine myself next time. The only specific thing a good independent cannot do is the hybrid health check. Having said that a 120,000 mile service is fixed price at £660 and includes the plugs which are £600 on their own so it might be worth taking it to a main dealer.
  10. I think you could do some troubleshooting by accessing the pump first if it’s correct that you can access via the wheel arch. You might be able to hear it running or not and then assess how easy it could be to change, take some pictures etc. As you won’t need the rear washer for the vehicle to be roadworthy, this is a job you could come back to another day once you’ve shopped around for a replacement. I doubt there’s a ‘wiring fault’ this sounds like main dealer BS like my £500 labour estimate from Lexus Coventry that was resolved with a A/C regas. It could be clogged up or the pipe blocked. I would go for a Toyota part though if it does need replacing. If you have a multimeter you could check the connections for power also. Good luck and let us know how you get on.
  11. 64725-50071 is the part number you are looking for. Google search it various sources will come up where you can buy it.
  12. Blue white been put off black Red I’m unsure off Any other colour would be fine too
  13. It will stop if you haven’t walked far enough away
  14. WESTFIELD MOTORS, RALEIGH ESSEX, Toyota specialists replaced & programmed one of mine at a very reasonable price within £100 all in
  15. Bill....my 450h is a MY23 ( manufactured 12/22) and does have the facility.
  16. I get the beeps on my new LBX plus the notification on the dashboard to check rear seats. I chased up with Lexus Swindon and I was informed it is a safety requirement to remind drivers not to leave a child in the car! Seems a bit implausible. “Have you got the baby?” “No, I thought you had!”
  17. If it is going to be software based immobiliser, I would rather stick to my Ghost II which works perfectly. Having an immobiliser fitted over another immobiliser may be a little overkill and if the car doesn't start, which immobiliser is at fault?!
  18. 3 of sand and 1 of cement....why not call it the "Mortar" edition.
  19. I’ve generally been impressed with the KIA models I’ve seen, and Volvo as well albeit interior quality on both is short of Lexus imho (but not by much). One word of warning though. I was at dinner in London with some colleagues a few days ago. The subject turned to cars. None of them were aware of the Lexus CANBUS issue (no real reason they should be) but my, admittedly non-technical, description prompted one of those present to wonder if a neighbour’s Kia EV6 had a similar vulnerability. His neighbour (based in South London) had a brand new EV6 delivered on a low loader from a lease company. Two days later it was taken, from the driveway, overnight. Now, I suppose that could have been a key issue, or some ‘insider’ dealing either at the lease company or the transport company. But what it does show is that lots of marques have security issues, not just Lexus.
  20. Yep, you are right there is a separate pump for the headlight cleaner. Maybe it’s just the fuse for the windscreen washer pump.
  21. Local garage look over it and told me steering lock control module that’s giving the vehicle problems. There is a power and ground there, however the box is not releasing the ACC relay to start the vehicle. is anyway I can get the Lexus software or is only via Lexus
  22. It’s a worldwide problem. Even the American Lexus Owners site is full of owners who can’t find that button! It must be Japanese sense of humour…😊 Equally problematic are the recommended ways of resetting it. Here’s the official version, but driving the car for a while at speeds of over 50mph are also suggested. Presumably the tyres get hot enough to expand and increase the internal pressure, which helps to reset the valve when it’s next turned on. “Turn the vehicle’s ignition to “on” without starting the engine; hold the TPMS reset button until the light flashes three times and release the button. Start the car and give it about 20 minutes—the warning light should disappear.”
  23. I also spoke with them just last week and they told me different. I pushed the issue and they said that Lexus UK still hadn't told dealerships when or what the fix would be, and it is overdue from April. They've been saying June/July since April but bet your bottom dollar that what you were told doesn't mean dealers have had any confirmation at all yet. All I could get out of them was it would be "software based" and work in conjunction with the steel plates. To me, that signifies a retrofitted immobiliser.
  24. I believe it was MY24, introduced Aug ‘23. But best tested as there was some differences over keys at that time
