Touch Screen problem
knotfooled replied to colsay's topic in Lexus LBX Owners Club - The All-New Lexus LBX
My son has an expensive Audi and it's screen displays every fingerprint. He uses a micro cloth which works well and I copied that successfully with my NX 350h. I then made the mistake of using a glass cleaner provided by Lexus which welded the prints to the screen! After about a month the micro cloth was able to remove them. -

Punctured Run flat repaired

Just come across this topic, but I think this is an important point that Don makes! As a basic rule, it’s never a good idea to mix different types of tyres. As to whether RFs are repairable, it seems that the answer is….it all depends on the tyre, why it’s losing pressure and how it’s been driven on! This explanation by Goodyear might be helpful. https://www.goodyear.eu/en_gb/consumer/learn/can-run-flat-tyres-be-repaired.html -
Lexus UX 250h trim level question
Indurin replied to Indurin's topic in Lexus UX200, UX250, UX250h, UX300e Club
That was the first thing I tried, but in 2024 on the Lexus.de website, the equipment levels I'm talking about no longer exist. -
I just renewed with Lexus Insurance and I was told that I would need to fit an immobiliser from an approved list. I then asked if the immobiliser that Lexus Insurance fitted was valid and was told provided I hadn't removed it things were fine and it was a mistake that they didn't have the car flagged as having the immobiliser fitted. I'm bit suspicious that they're not offering the free immobiliser anymore.

Stats on NX 450h+ Predicted EV Range
450h123 replied to Harrier Man's topic in Lexus NX300h / NX200t / NX350h / NX450h Club
I cant beat your efficiency. That's impressive numbers esquire. I am rocking 3.1 miles per KWh with mainly urban and A roads and a little motorway (hilly but with up and downhill so should theoretically even out id have thought). I do have an F-sport so don't know if that makes things worse. Real life I am getting early 50's now in electric so happy with that. My May stats are 450 miles with 79% EV and 243 MPG (most of my daily (return) trips are inside the electric range). Out of interest how do you use the car? Start in EV and let it run out? Manually switch between EV and HV or put it in auto and let it decide? I am beating you on the charging front....got the Hive charger and years free charge offer. Just hope the smart charge is still about when I come off it! -

It is the first time I have heard about the issue of theft affecting the RX 4th generation. I have checked the Lexus online recall service and mine is not subject to any recall. Would it be possible that the Lexus dealer (they are excellent) that has serviced my car has fitted a plate without telling me ? It would be great if they did it. Also is this issue of theft of the RX affecting only London or does it affect also the other parts of the UK ? Thank you

On the Lexus pricing plan 100k should just be another major service. -

Regarding the relax warranty, if I take the car in at 99.9k miles and get the service done, you get the whole 10l 1 year limit, so warranty potentially up to 110k and 11 years. it’s a good offer, however I can see the 100k service not being cheap!! -

Thanks for the useful info, I’m not confident enough to be messing with brakes, I’m going to take it for mot at local garage and I’ll get them to do a basic service on the brakes. If they were close to need replacing, Lexus dealer would have made a big fuss, they just said keep an eye on them, they replace front discs at 25mm and rear at 16mm (or close too ok those numbers) mine they said were at that limit. They also mentioned a dry leak on the water pump, gave me the option to replace at my cost of £349.00 but didn’t think it was bad enough to do under warranty! -
Consireding Buying RCF

They never put a deposit down that’s the thing… and I have my cash sorted for the deal which was even mentioned putting a deposit down means a guaranteed purchase if all was ok after viewing -

Wow, 147l on the original brakes is amazing, I thought I was doing well. You could be right, might just need a clean and grease -

Why are you even surprised? And what exactly is your deposit going to change here? Someone was quicker, find next one or go there before this customer with money ready to purchase it. -
I think what we were discussing was brakes upgrade kit from GS300/IS350. As mentioned - Brembo pads where not exceptional in any way. ECP can be good sometimes when they have discounts.

Annoying beeping sound
argyros replied to kieron 77's topic in Lexus RZ Owners Club - All-New Electric Lexus
The annoying beep is a speed limit alert that activates if you drive 31 mph in a 30 mph zone. It needs to be turned off every time you start the car, which is both distracting and frustrating. -

Hi, my RX does a double beep ahead of a speed camera based upon the Lexus navigation system. I know you’ve muted the google maps but I wonder if it’s the native system generating it? There again you’d probably notice the coincidence …. -

Speed camera alerts happen even when the Lexus sat nav isn't running, well it does/did on mt RX and RC -

kieron 77 replied to kieron 77's topic in Lexus RZ Owners Club - All-New Electric Lexus
I thought it might be Google maps alerting me to the average speed check but I have the notifications set to mute so it not that either. Have the speed limit set to mute and no warming notifications flashing up, just an annoying beep beep every so often so no apparent reason, I'll keep investigating... -

So much wiring behind the TEYES unit. Can't even get it in place. Sits an inch proud ... -
Yeah I’ve noticed the brakes ***** out a lot of dust, I only really notice because I’ve got white bola’s on the car 😳 might need to get them dipped lol. I’m thinking of just wacking brembos on, what’s this brake kit your talking about? I’ll have a look on auto doc I’ve always used euro for bits , coming from a gen7 accord everything was a easy choice in terms of brakes ect.

I'm trying to buy a 2020 or newer Lexus UX 250h from Germany, but I can't find correct information about the trim levels (I don't live in Germany and I don't know the language). I see that there are three trim levels: Launch Edition, Style Edition and Amazing Edition. The specifications in the sales announcements are not relevant, I guess because of the negligence of the dealers. Can someone tell me what the differences are between them? Are they important, should I take them into consideration? Thank you.

Consireding Buying RCF
TheHairyBeast replied to TheHairyBeast's topic in Lexus F Club - Lexus IS-F / GS-F / RC-F Club
So far having found an RCF I’m actually interested dealer has rejected my deposit as someone else is going to view car before me as it’s a confirmed booking, without a deposit. is this normal for Lexus? also apparently min deposit is 1k? Never heard of this before. shall not name the dealer but so far the service I’ve got does not seem to be good. looks like they are just giving priority to someone else… -
Strange lexus never included the brake pins into the service , as it is a problem with a Lexus 🤔 never mind! Nice one for the video, I’ve never had to deal with slider pins but it can’t be hard to sort out 😎
