  2. Does the throttle controller have a mode that acts as an immobiliser? My Sprintboosters don't but I seem to remember at least one of the controllers have the feature.
  3. If that’s the American ones it will be because the reflectors are red at the back and amber on the front. The dimensions however are the same. When I bought mine I asked the seller to supply 4 amber ones with clear lens so if I ever wanted to wire the up they would be all amber as we use as standard in the UK. I also sourced the bulb holders and connectors to facilitate. All the new clear LED ones are made in china. I have purchased somethings from the US at higher cost and then found out that they are made in China. So it is cheaper and greener to buy things direct from China.
  4. That sounds like an Ultimate Edition Convertible. If it's UE, it should be 1 of 7 in the UK.

  6. Yesterday I managed to get 43.6 miles of EV driving albeit with 100% charge the car was showing 49.7 miles range as I left…. but then I used the heater, the heated steering wheel and the wipers so all in all pretty good. With the slightly warmer weather my EV economy has improved from 2.6 to 2.7 miles per kWh having now covered 6,200 miles in total.
  7. The UX can be bumpy on bad roads like we have near Gatwick /Crawley, but I have yet to find ANY car that was better on our roads
  8. Like Norman my cars 10yrs old now but looks far from it, and mine had it's 10yr service done before it's anniversary to get another yrs warranty, it was chucking down on the way home after the service, so left the car for a couple of weeks before hoovering and wash and wax. That's when I noticed the rear set of mats were missing and being it was late on the Friday then, the valet team had gone home for the weekend and could not check, but no mats were found, to be fair when I noticed and rang Lexus they were picking a CT up so offered the mats out the back of that as a replacement which I accepted, but I never mention about the wash it was given, take a close look at the front of the car, I have cleaned the left side and left the right untouched to show the difference of the smearing. I don't know what the cleaning stuff or coating was used but looked like they hadn't wiped it off, I tried to remove it with polish, then T-cut none of which touched it so had to use G3 Faracela, I think that's how you spell it and it still took me 20 mins just for the left side.
  9. Tbf - whilst I changed mine for completely different reasons, boredom mainly, I found mine amazingly quiet and relaxing - it had Dunlop run flats on rather Bridgestone and might be the difference on yours - try changing the rubbers before binning it?
  10. Interesting experience. I recently purchased a 2021 UX 250h premium sport edition with 9200 miles. I have it 6 weeks and will be getting rid of it. This is the nosiest and most uncomfortable car I have owned in 44 years of driving. From what I have read the tyres are a major factor. You can feel every bump in the road. I live in Northern Ireland and our roads are poor but this car exaggerates this. Previous car VW golf 1.4 Tsi and I had it for 6 years was quiet and smooth. My wife’s 6 months old Yaris design is far quieter than the UX. Also the Yaris drive is a lot smoother. Yaris is 1.5 hybrid. Previously owed 3 avensis, 2 Yaris, Rav. 2 BMWS, 3 Peugeots I am so disappointed in the UX. I have always associated Lexus with quiet and smooth driving cars. Another reason I purchased was the reliability record of Lexus but this means nothing if the car is dreadful to drive. My test drive was mostly on a short motorway section so very difficult to spot the noise issues.
  11. They don’t have the same part numbers ☹️
  12. I have problem with the app showing status unknown. Anyone has this problem?
  13. Are the fronts the same size as the rears?
  14. Not sure about the 2019. I have a 2014 exec 6 speaker system and its just ok. The best sound quality i have found is achieved using Bluetooth and it also lets you change tracks etc using the steering controls. For some reason aux quality isnt as good and also you can't use the steering controls. I don't know about USB on a 2019 but on a 2014 usb is only for flash drives as far as i know.
  15. The stock stereo is decent. Not as good as Mark Levinson, unless yours has that. I've had my is300h for 6 years now. I contemplated upgrading to a more beefy 450 bhp version but then decided against it since I wouldnt get the best out of it on my short commutes. Instead I decided to do a number or things and one of them was upgrade the stereo/ nav setup. I bought a 10.2 inch screen with built in Android 13. The screen comes with a wire harness to piggy back the stock stereo. You may be fully aware of android options Available. The benefit is having the old stock radio and nav but complimented with the newer bigger screen, android auto, waze sat nav or Google maps and voice commands etc. it's great to say 'hey Google, play 80's music' or radio station and it's streamed from Spotify. The next plan is fitting a ghost immobiliser Ian
  16. Just picked the car up today following the airbag recall after having had the car for 3 days. I haven’t notice any squeaks or rattles so far and got a clean health check. Only issue is the throttle controller doesn’t work anymore. If it’s connected the car won’t start so it’s now disconnected. Guess I will have to buy a new one.
  17. There’s other Bettys Cafes too, not just Harrogate and the art to not Qing is to go when it’s quiet in the day ! Malc
  18. Before I replaced the passenger side mirror I must have shorted something because I was trying to tuck the electric wires from the door mirror inwards. Radio and climate control and door mirror control functions are not working. The climate control backlight is on with a solid line at the bottom. The hot air seems to coming out but can't control it from buttons nor can I see anything. Radio and clock is off. Replaced passenger side door mirror. The puddle light comes on as per normal when you go near the car or car is unlocked. Tried replacing radio1 + radio2 fuse nothing. Radio 3 looked blown to me but replaced that as well still nothing. I am not sure which fuse is for the mirror control? Anyone have any clues?
  19. My insurance renewal is at the end of the month. The notice came through today and was a pleasant surprise from Chris Knott who @RONNIE W HODGEKINSONrecommended on this forum last year… …my premium has gone down! Yes, you read that right…£55 cheaper than last year at £636 fully comprehensive and with business use included. Yes, in 2021 when I bought the RX my premium with MoreThan was £350, but even so…I’ll take that as a huge win (but will still try comparison sites to see if there are better deals, but I doubt it!). I was braced for a four figure number, and I don’t mean £99.99! 😁
  20. Truth be told I find Bettys a little overhyped. Lots of queuing, decent ,but overpriced food that is in fairness inline with the ethos of it's historic appeal. If lots of peeps like it and want to be there you're not going to sell cheaply are you? Being 'insiders' of course we stopped in at Addingham on the way back and used the local cafe "Ginger Plum". Nice cafetiere, great service, lovely moist Orange and Almond cake. All done for 14 quid for two. Plus they have works from local artists on the wall for sale. Indeed, the trip was for me to get another look in at a little art gallery in Ilkley that I have bought from before. Nothing to buy today ,but still some nice works if you have the appropriate place for it. Also a bit of fun winding the wife up regaling her with the tale of the landlord daughter from Addingham, the one that got away ! Yeah, that's right no baking for me for the next month.
  21. I have managed to resurrect my original unit. I would happily take a look at your unit. Maybe even purchase for spares if you are thinking of replacing it? I’m driving up to Edinburgh next month.
  22. Hi all. Picking up a 2019 IS300H advance tomorrow. One aspect I never checked was the audio. I'd prefer to listen wired to at least get the best out of what seems to be an average audio set up in these cars. What is the best way to do this if i wanted to listen to Spotify playlists via an Android phone? Is it USB or an AUX cable. Peferably it would be nice to skip songs via the steering wheel controls. Is there also a specific type of cable i should be getting to allow audio from phone to car? Thanks in advance.
  23. I noticed too, no it wasn't me. Hopefully the buyer joins up here to show it off, I'd be really interested to see how it holds up.
