will these fit in the boot?!

http://www.amazon.co.uk/White-16-SMD-DE3175-DE3022-Lights/dp/B00BG9KVS0

mine are terrible, cant see shag all with them, they need to go asap.

May just about fit in the rear seat area but you'll have to angle them apart as the bulbs are closely located.

Don't think they will fit the boot fitment as that is quite restricted.

I was going to look at the boot light but the summer rain started again !! - is the boot one a festoon one? Will have a look when it stops raining.

It only took 10 mins if that to change the bulbs - from taking the mirrors apart last week it made it easier to remember what and how it came apart (mirror / housing / bulb - that's all) ... that and the wife saying tea was ready ... that's always a good incentive.

I have replaced the cabin lights described in the other post I have just made.

Yep the boot one is a festoon type too.

Please check it but I think they were around 29/30mm in length.

The boot one is bit of a sod as you have to slightly bend one side with something like long nosed pliers to get the bulb to fit and stay there when you use the on/off switch.

  • 3 weeks later...

Fitted two shadow lights tonight to the driver and passengers door

Just curious to see if they worked and what they looked like. It was still quite light when I took the picture and they are brighter now in the dark.

A bit of bling?

I have a pair of those previously recommended by Normski. Even till this day everyone comments on them.

They actually look better in real and I don't think the photo does any justice!

Nice mod and only cost £12-20 on eBay

Just a bit of fun - if you cant do that with your car then what's the point

Bought from eBay listing number 221500574535 at £15 - just plug and play (no wiring or drilling)

As Ishaq said above - they do look a lot better in the dark - picture shows it distorted and dull.but far from it - if I decide to put the oem lights back in I will just plug them back in.

My sentiments entirely. They can be sourced for many different vehicles.

This thread has prompted me to "LED" my car. Did it today after watching the Precision LED video. Couldn't have done it without the video guide.....excellent !

Did the puddle lights, the vanity mirrors and the centre roof lights. Also put leds in the red lenses on the underside of the door - undecided about the Lexus projector ones.

Also did the front side lights, a bit fiddly but got there in the end.

I wouldn't attempt these jobs without the special trim releasing tools, they made the job both easy and non-damaging !!
